Fanfiction: Freehold's Legacy

Freehold’s Legacy “The symbol of the great city of Freehold, the lost gem of Mars.” –Freeholder's Memory, Titan Mark After combing through troves of recovered engrams from what they believe is from the great city of Freehold, the Cryptarch has released to the public an old ballad or song that dates back to the Golden Age. Though the title is still lost, many believe that it may have been sung during festivals or to wives and children. Through boundless space, no air to breathe We set off to the stars to seek A savage land beneath our feet The Traveler’s light will guide thee. Though Burning sands may blind us here The fading sun may chill our rear And even if the Darkness nears My light is right beside thee So don’t be glum, oh don’t be drear Let worries fall, nothing to fear You are safe from the Darkness leer I’m always near so you may sleep Through red sands we go swift and bold Strong even if you’re hot or cold Grand fortune like no soul has told There's countless wealth these lands may hold No time to waste, work to complete Walls of stone that will steel our keep Soaring spires even you can’t leap With open eyes, so much to see We’ll sing and dance, by sun or moon Our city breathes our beat and tune Take my hand and I’ll make you swoon Dreams can wait cause it’s much too soon Through boundless space, no air to breathe We set off to the stars to seek A savage land beneath our feet The Traveler’s light will guide thee Please leave a like and comment what you think, thank you.
