I Solved The Raids Matchmaking situation.
Have "Raids: Matchmaking" & "Raids: Clan".
I'm in a clan (Join: http://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/162357/67307809/0/0 )...but some people may not have 5 other friends or the time to find a clan. I don't think that people should be kept away from end game stuff if they paid full price for the game just like the rest of us.
Make a matchmaking section that is easier with less/not as good loot.
Clan section has best stuff.
Everyone plays all content. Everyone wins.

20 RepliesNo one is forcing you to enter a raid. Bungie said themselves they want to create something that you will be talking about at the water cooler, or when someone asks how you got a certain piece of gear you will have an actual story to tell. The end game content is there for people to put the effort into, to plan for coordinate with and progress through. So far a lot of people are struggling with the notion of putting effort into finding five other people. You want end game gear with matchmaking thats iron banner, you want without thats raids.

81 RepliesNah. Watering things down to make it easier for players that don't want to try as hard hurts us all. Imagine if we did the same for basic training in the military or test scores for universities. If you want it bad enough it's there for you to take, but it won't be handed to you.

4 RepliesLet's just create a whole new game called "Maybe a Little Destiny" that caters to everyone who has 0 friends and wants to do solo missions and matchmaking for everything. That should certainly take less than a month to complete, and we don't even have to implement a clan system with a month of preparation!

11 RepliesBetter yet, why doesn't everyone who wants matchmaking post your id and make friends like normal people. It took me 4 hours to put a clan together that actually functions. And I started the beta with no friends on my list that were on ps4. People who want matchmaking are just to lazy to rectify their situation. And with the game being a month out, you have PLENTY of time to get a group together.

15 RepliesOR people can spend the next month getting organized for raid groups... OR you could use Strikes as a pseudo Raid and add players who do great on strikes as a friend. I guess this is Bungie's fault for making people try to socialize by going out of their way to add a friend.

Except for then we will have the problem WoW does. People think they have run out of things to do since they have seen all end game content. Thus not feeling the push to gear up or strive to play better. We don't want that.

2 RepliesIm not affected by this. I have about 7-8 friends buying destiny. Also if raids are as tough as the developers are telling us, then I'd rather bleed fight and die with my friends next to me.

I'm just so glad I've got 8 to 10 real life friends grabbing this game, anything I joined a random mm strike well I left. No on talked everyone trying to lead in kills I hope they add Mm to raids lol I'll come read the bitching

That is one of the most prominent arguments AGAINST matchmaking; [b]the content is supposed to be challenging.[/b] The worst thing that could EVER HAPPEN to raids is that they get tuned down for random groups which is one of the possible outcomes of allowing matchmaking (due to the million of tards who would then whine about the difficulty) (I know some of you are willing to accept the challenge of doing it with randoms but you know as well as I that people are -blam!-ing stupid) Personally I say why not have matchmaking, but I understand why it's not there. I would prefer a better solution, for example like a group finder of some kind. Below you can find a model I wrote for it (feel free to point out it's flaws or if you can think of improvements) [spoiler]Maybe something like this - a Looking For Group board at the Tower: - Choose the mission and difficulty you want to engage (only those you meet the minimum requirements for are listed - Leave a short message, so you can for example let others know your time limitations, e.g. "Can only do the raid for 3 hours" - After accepting, anyone can now see your listing and invite/message you from the board. You can also at any time redact your listing from it or join another group through the board, which automatically removes your listing.[/spoiler]
