Using God as an Excuse
Why do people feel the need to say things like "God is my savior" when thousands of people are getting killed for no reason', "You will not make it to heaven" when there is no evidence of that in the first place , and things like that.......is it that they are scared of the truth, that they will not have anything to live up to? People confuse me so much, so much hate, so much descrimination, so much of BAD instead of good.....I really don't get it.

The notion of God evokes a sense of conscious that some lack without the thought of consequences . you don't have to be a christian or muslim or Jewish to have a sense of right or wrong, and innocent people loosing there life is a shame but if you were too look into religion it's not about God fixing our problems its about us having the opportunity to learn and change or not. Its the same concept of parent hood but on a much grander scale. Be an Atheist if you want I will not loose sleep and I'm sure you won't either. But the fact is we both made our choices through options presented to us. My options were put in front of me by God... Who gave you your options?

2 RepliesI grew up without religion in my household. I never went to church and not did I ever pray. I understand everyone has a right to choose a religion, but there is no need to bash on that person for choosing his/her own path. I see religions as almost like a guideline to humanity. A good set of morals.

God doesn't hate fags or anything either, people still use god as an excuse to go against the constitution and prevent gay marriage. Believe what you want to believe, just don't force your religion onto other people.
