Do you think this would be a good idea for Destiny? Would it even work? I think it would at least keep everyone from running around looking the same.

Bump!!
-
How could anything of this be real, if our eyes aren't real?
-
You play WoW don't yah?
-
Im sorry I.. dont know that wooooord
-
IF we can make all our gear look exotic and matching, that'd be epic.
-
Color customization is plenty. Aura effects would be cool the way enchantments work. However, like WoW, they could implement it down the road. A great way to give some value to sets that you will eventually replace in future expansions. Because I think that making gear look like gear you have earned is reasonable. Maybe one exotic helm looks cooler than one with superior stats? An inspection could display what they're using and what it's transmogrified as, so that the whole "showing gear that you've earned tells a story" is enriched, not detracted from. TLDR: Add it down the road to keep gear relevant in expansions. Transmogrifying gear you've earned could be cool as long as it shows information for BOTH the equipped and the original.

Yeah I think they should defiantly have transmorg in destiny. Though there should be restrictions. Like u have to own the piece u want to transmorg your gear into. And you have to be able to equip that gear to.. lvl requirment, class specific. And there isnt a auction in destiny.. so you actualy have to earn how you want to look.. ok lets think, I go and earn this cool gear with great stats that is far better than my last. but for w.e reason your old gears look, has really grown on you and you want to be easly identified from week to week. Or w.e. so which do you use stats or looks. Y do you have to be torn beween the 2, when with transmorg you get the best of both worlds. Butt lets say you see somone else with sweet gear and you want to look like that, with my idea stated above you couldnt just go and instantly look like that or even probably go buy it even. You have to get super lucky and unlock it how ever you do that. And chances of that are slim. Really can anyone say this is not a good idea.. with no transmorg, Everyone who has the best gear with same play style will look fairly the same, minus shaders. Though there is a huge variety of playstyles so the best gear is different for alot of people, but still.

Worst idea ever made. You look at some Hero and you can see all the success, all the hard earned crazy stuff, only by gear himself. With shit like Transmog, you see nothing, so no thx, never!

Damn aristocrats

Edited by Zinastin: 8/5/2014 4:46:16 AMAm I the only one who came in here hoping for a Calvin and Hobbes reference? I wouldn't mind my own baseball team in Destiny... :(

Edited by JiveBuddha: 8/5/2014 3:58:44 AMYou should change the title of the thread. If people associate anything with WoW they'll automatically reject it. As for my opinion: I don't think the game needs it. WoW needed it because armor mismatch was atrocious, and there were lots of unused lower-level gear that looked great. Destiny won't need this as long as Bungie keeps armor consistent. Maybe eventually it might be cool, just to give players even more customization and diversify their looks across the board.

From the looks of things the variety of gear, weapons, and the different shaders, I don't think everyone is going to look the same
-
This would great. I loved it when in wow we finally got the ability to do this! Make this happen!
