Ok, so I love all the melee abilities, but i think that they need more controll. First off, it's very annoying when, as my Hunter, I would melee a dreg at close range, but would still throw my knife, meaning that I cant throw it at the second one behind it like I wanted to... Or when I don't want to use Drain Life on a hive thrall that's already at low health but happens to be in my face while I'm reloading, but wish to just do a regular melee and save it for the knight that will take the full damage... Basically, I need to be able to selectivly use my melee vs my melee ability. A bumper tap should be a melee, and a held bumper should activate my melee ability....
Also, I don't like how assisted the melee is... My friend did a melee on accident and it turned her 90° to hit a Thrall that was there... While usefull I think it caters to the inexperienced or unskilled too much, such hit assistance should only be given to a melee that happens directly after a blink, just because it takes a second to understand where you've teleported to, and the general instability of teleporting to unset locations, especially when it comes to the hunter's Bladedancer subclass melee ability (can't recall the name atm) that is litteraly a teleporting melee...
Now that I've gone over the tweeks of how melee is used, I think that there needs to be some melee modifiers. The damage that melee does needs to be upgraded in accordance to the players current strength score, so that strength not only effects the cool down rate of your melee, but the damage of it too, on a similar note, the same needs to be done with Discipline and the grenade.
