Once upon a time I used to enjoy The Flood but that was many years ago. The Flood I see today sickens me. Sure it's the Internet and in few circumstances are people ever mature on the Internet. But that's not what I'm talking about... it's the level of hypocrisy I see on this forum that is absolutely astonishing. As a prime example, take the recent destruction of the Off Site forum. Rather than recognize just what the hell brought the forum down (insults for the pure sake of being assholes), our friends who so recently rage quit Off Topic decided to return and blow up the forums here with -- gasp -- the exact same hateful insults that got the Off Site destroyed. Many of them readily spit hatred while acting surprised when someone dishes it right back, albeit perhaps in a different manner. I've seen other instances where users call out a particular one of us (I'll not name names) for the sole sake of being assholes. It doesn't happen once, it happens continually. The people with the gall to say "this community now sucks" are, in most cases, the ones most directly contributing to the hate. You want it to not be a shitty community? Stop flaming. But no... People like insulting others on the Internet for the simple reason that it makes them feel better about their own pitiful lives. It's sad, it really is. This shitty community is the project you made, Flood. You did this. Don't blame Bungie or Deej or Stosh or whomever. You're all big boys and girls. You did this. It's up to you to fix it.
