Edit:
Part of the first poll was cut off.
It says "the game" at the end.

No. The alpha made me preorder.

Kind of sort of. I had 25 down on it but I was waiting for the beta to see how it played on ps3 and it played very well. I want my last game for ps3 to be my best one.

Edited by hkrab105: 7/26/2014 5:10:34 PMI originally pre ordered to see how Destiny played on PS3, I was wary about it since a lot of cross gen games run like crap on PS3 (for obvious reasons). Also I didn't really know much about Destiny and how its shared world functioned. Thankfully the beta answered all my questions and reassured me that the PS3 version isn't an afterthought for Bungie since the last gen version looks amazing considering the hardware limitations. Also the game is a lot of fun which is the most important thing. I'm definitely keeping my pre order now

What are the benefits to preorder? I never preorder because my best buy always has games in stock. But i'm definitely day 1 buying.

Edited by Tiny Baby Jesus: 7/26/2014 5:13:57 PMI think I understand what you mean. I preordered the game last year. The alpha and beta have convinced me not to cancel. EDIT: My decision to preorder was not influenced by being allowed to be in the beta. I would have preordered anyhow.

I was planning on ordering the game before I played the Beta. I would often talk with another co-worker of mine about the game, and he would fill me in on details from here and there. After playing the beta and confirming some suspicions I had, I will gladly say that I've got little patience for the game to finally come out. :3

Whenever I bought Destiny, I didn't know what the game was like an frankly I didn't really want it. After I played the Destiny, I was sure I wanted it. The fact that now I can play with more of my friends doesn't seem like a bad thing.
-
I definitely would have preordered it either way, but when I learned of the beta it was set in stone.
-
I love to have a peak at somthing like this before it comes out
-
Well, i would buy the game anyway, but the Beta was also a nice benefit for the Preorder.

I have to admit I pre-orderd on Amazon just to get the beta code then canceled it. But after playing it i went a preorderd it again because it's awesome. Two reasons why bungie made it open beta. To gain more sales and to test their servers when all the ppl play the game upon release.

Yeah the beta affected me decision to preorder. My friends all had the game preordered, played the beta, hate the game and now have cancelled. I think the game is fun but not worth a purchase. Along with all my friends no longer buying it, I'm going to cancel my preorder and just get Destiny with gamefly.

only reason i preordered.
