Xbox One Couldn't Find Code.

So I just checked to see that I had gotten my 3 BETA codes for Xbox One. However when I go to redeem the code either on my xbox itself or on xbox.com I keep getting a message Saying "We couldn't find your code. Try again in a while, or contact the code provider for more info." I have tried all 3 codes to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I figured it out. You need to have xbox live Gold. I hadn't realized my subscription had run out.
