I'm not being funny but for some reason I can't see split-screen happening. Feels like with most newer games your friend needs a different console and internet to play with you. That's pretty sad. Would love to see it done though!

1 Replysplit screen would be a nice addition, though I rarely use the feature, I still feel it would be an overall benefit to this game. Larger fireteams are essential if this game wants to be considered a "social game" which it appears Bungie does given the marketing messaging. Only playing with only 2 or 5 other people is simply too narrow minded. I fear my friends list will shrink if this doesn't change as I will constantly have to turn down party invites. Also, it would be great if we were able to "sync" up with other firetemas and go on the same raid/strike/mission/explore...

3 RepliesYea, totally agree. We need to stop making excuses for Bungie here, 3 people is a terrible choice. It has nothing to do with 3 classes/races, difficulty, non of that. Just make enemies tougher and have more people per group. Simple. The fact that this issue wasn't mentioned during even their internal play testing is laughable. They have more the 3 devs don't they? But, this won't be fixed so why bother. Judging from Bungie's response to other feedback issues, they always have some sort of silly excuse for this kinds of things. I mean, why give people what they want? It's not like they are trying to sell it or anything...

5 RepliesThere is a lot of coding to go into making a game split screen. The game world basically has to be replicated twice. That takes a huge toll on the graphics. Not only would it not be prettier, it would probably be laggy especially since this is an mmo styled game. Coding would have to mirror the world which means: every event, every spawn, every enemy, every player and every item drop, gun fire, and whatever else. The game is just about 2 months away. A little late to add co-op. Bigger Fire teams would be nice though.

1 ReplyIt doesnt matter if u play 3,4,5 or 6 players. You can choose your friends and play like you want with 3,4,5 or 6 players this is the best solution because i like to have a bigger fireteam to and everybody that cant understand that i say: HATERS GONNA HATE

Totally need split screen as an option, that was what made Halo a huge hit and brought in way more people into the gaming community, that is what brought me in, all those memories from long ago about how awesome it was to play the campaign with a friend. Had that not been available I would have never given Halo a second thought. Playing split screen campaigns is how a gaming franchise, not to mention gaming system franchises gain new costumers. It was a smart move for halo, it would be a smart move now for destiny! As for more players in a Fire Team at least 4 would be nice but 6 would be ideal. On BF4 squads of 5 works but most times we are having to split squads because we frequently have 6 players in our party. So at least making strikes accessible to fire teams of 6 with hard core enemies requiring coordinated team work to bring down would be awesome. Add 6 payer story missions to that would be even better! Don't go easy on us, make enemies that make us want to die! Make us give it all we have and work together like we have never worked together before. Make it possible for Fire Teams of 6 to become LEGEND!

lol splitscreen giving the advantage? LOL. anyways, I agree. 6 man fire teams! or at least.... 6 man co-op missions. far too often we go to other games so we don't have to leave anyone out. shame. i'd rather play this than buggfield 4.

And it is not to late for them to put spilt into the game. They have 2 and a half months basiclly . So there is still time. Come on I for one love playing game with my family and friends on the same Xbox. No matter how many times you play with someone on a different Xbox it is never the same feeling as playing with your bro right next to you. And thank of all the families that will buy this game then think it is impossible to own two different consoles in one house holds now a days. SO BUNGIE I ASK YOU TO PLEASE MAKE THIS GAME SPILT-SCREEN CAPABLE.

1 ReplySplitscreen is out of the question now. Bungie has stated why it won't be implemented and it would be impossible for them to include it by launch at this point. The complaints about fireteam size are valid though and I don't see why Bungie can't increase it to at least 4 which is the sweet number for these co-op games.

Yeah i'd like a larger fire team. Not fair for someone to leave when there are 4 of us.

Not really worried about split-screen, but I would like to see the fireteam size moved up to 4. It sucks having to exclude someone from my normal gaming group. Most other co-op games either do 2 or 4, 3 seems like such an odd choice.

The play style and adaptability of the players make a unique experience. The three man team makes it more challenging and ensures that there isn't one or two players just soaking up experience. For the current available story modes, three is plenty. 3. Your fire teams location is shown on screen, I will a agree that there is the occasional moment when they seem to disappear for a few seconds but that's either because you've gone to far ahead or fallen behind. As for those who are not in your squad, I don't believe it matters. There was an article, a weekly update maybe, that explains how you'd see guardians flit in and out of visibility as they enter and exit your immediate location. I believe this is an opportunity for you to say 'hey maybe I should team up with this guardian who happened to walk by and save my life' or 'hot damn, that guy Odin's an artist with the fusion rifle'
