Character migration from Beta to Full game
Seriously...seriously... Bungie needs to make it a given that the characters we have been using in Beta are to continue with us in the full version of the game!
I will find it (and many others i am am sure) very annoying that I:
- will have to build up my character all over again in full game
- will have to redo the same levels/missions again as is in the full game. That would be soooo boring!
Yes...yes...this is beta and it is for testing. But, u guys r Bungie...Be Inovative...COME ON!!

3 RepliesI hope that we get to keep our characters since I've spent so much time on my character and so have other players. I also got higher level armor/weapons which i want to try out when the full game comes out

5 RepliesI understand this but I'd think a lot of us will be starting from scratch anyway and it could lead to some unfairness in PvP as Beta players have their map experience and customised guns to use over those with no map knowledge and base level stuff.

I disagree. While the proverbial argument of "It's a Beta..." will raise the ire of some, it just that: a Beta. And really, not even a real Beta in that we are hired testers citing code and whatnot that are flawed. It's close to a wise marketing ploy and more than anything a real-world stress test on servers. Snobbish answer aside, heh... I still wouldn't want Beta to carry over - new things will be added at release. Changes made, fixes implemented. It - like most games in the Beta stage - will change from now to launch.

4 RepliesThis is roughly 10% of the full game, leveling is boosted in the beta to level you faster, and it would put people who didn't play the beta at a disadvantage. Just start over and find your stuff again. Who knows maybe you will find something you like better.

6 Repliesthe only thing that matters come launch is the xp u grinded....ur gear wilm more than likely be way outclassed by the vanguard armory if u preordered....unless u have a full set of blues waiting for u at lvl 10...i wouldnt worry too much

3 RepliesI think they should at least let you keep armor, weapons, glimmer, and emblems u unlock. (I want to keep my rare bunny emblem). But I'll allow them to reset lvl progress. Yeah bungie is gonna give beta emblems and stuff to those who played beta but who cares about that stuff. Honestly pretty much everyone who is gonna get game has already pre ordered. It's not special emblem/gear since pretty much everyone will have it. I've heard good reasoning on both sides. It does make since to restart lvl since they said it was faster to rank up in beta. But for those who say, "no don't carry over! I want to start fresh" then YOU can start a new character. don't drag us all with u.

If they reset your level to 0 then they would reset your weapons and armor to zero. And glimmer...so who cares man???? ive scrapped soooooo many green weapons and armor because i already have the same ones.....lol just let it go!

Maybe then they'll realize how counter productive these requests are. Then they can whine about how easy the game is.

5 RepliesRealistically it won't take long to reach level 8. Leveling is fast enough that it shouldn't be painful. Honestly I'm all for recreating my hunter just so his hair doesn't have that womanly volume. Too much Tresseme or something

I don't think they should have a migration put in. It only takes a couple of hours of play to hit level 8. Not that hard to do. Plus in the final version I'm sure they will add some tweaks to the beginning stages. Like increased loot drop rate (slightly I hope) more objectives or waves of enemies, increased difficulty etc. There 3 classes to play so when you get the Game choose another one.

4 RepliesI'd be more worried about the lvl 20 cap then migrating my character, I already got a warlock to 8 then realized I could make him look better so deleted an started another got him to 8 and some advanced skills in the 1st 2days of beta

5 RepliesI have to disagree with you there. I think it's a good move by them not to allow the transfer of characters. It allows everyone to start of evenly and it's super fast to level anyways so no need for it.

4 RepliesI agree with this not trying to be mean but it's not our fault other people couldn't pre-order if they can shell out 60 bucks in one day for a game they could have put 5 $ or 10$ to pre-order it so that equal playing field excuse is out the window but honestly I don't think any of it will carry over except iron banner stuff and the stuff we get on the 26th
