A good list of good suggestions

My friend and I have been playing the beta for a few days and have had a blast so far. We've taken our experience with the beta and other games and thought of some good and reasonably applicable changes that could be made which would enhance the experience. So here goes: 1. More emotes and the ability to assign them to each d-pad button. Also maybe where you can hold down the up or down on the d-pad that opens up a radial menu where you can select emotes. This also frees up the other three buttons for other uses. 2. The ability to manually turn on and off flashlights. This would go along the emote idea and could be assigned to a d-pad. 3. A player made waypoint system. This could be applied along with a redesigned emote system and assigned to a d-pad button. 4. Warlock melee ability should drain more energy for grenade. Isn't really noticeable. 5. A deeper character creation. I have a feeling though that this one will come to be in the full game. 6. It seems like you don't run into other players that much while free roaming. I figured id see new people quite often though the level it is now may be desired or just because of beta and small beta player base. 7. Enemy respawn timer is too quick. Walk in a room, clear it out, then walk out and immediately back in and they're already back. There should be a proximity system where if a player is close to a spawn, they don't spawn, and a lengthened timer so they don't come back as fast. I've been killed before because my controller went dead and didn't reboot in time as a few vandals respawned and mauled me to death. 8. Better indication when a player goes down, especially if they're in your fireteam. Also having a side bar that had your teams health on it would be nice as well. Just a small name and bar up in the corner where a quick glance can keep me updated on how my friends are faring. Let me know what you think guys.

  • I've just started playing and have some initial feedback, and this seems like as good a place as any to provide it. In no particular order: The character creation options seem a bit sparse. Perhaps this is expanded upon in the full game, but as is it seems there are very few choices in each category. When making character creation selections (or any menu dealing with cosmetic changes), the feature should be displayed when highlighted instead of having to push A repeatably (Xbox) to reflect changes. For instance, if I want to test out all the hair colors, I don't want to mash A 20 times to see them all. Holding Y (Xbox) to go to orbit or exit the post mission report takes too long, maybe 5 seconds. You can really cut this down. 2 seconds ensures it is not a mistake, 5 is annoying overkill. As I've seen pointed out very often, the enemies respawn much too quickly in all occurrences. This has been expanded upon by many others, so I'll leave it at that. Lastly, this deals with fundamental mechanics of the game which I fear will limit the amount of change possible. I feel the movement speed is too slow, almost sluggish. This has been an unfortunate trend in Bungie games, most egregiously in Halo Reach. Please increase movement speed. Also, the aiming accuracy while airborne needs to be increased. In fact, please abolish the aiming penalty altogether. This really discourages what is a fundamental movement in the game. If this game is supposed to feel fun to shoot, this does the exact opposite. I feel this is an unfortunate effect of the push to ADS in destiny, which in and of itself is not a bad thing, but it detracts from certain aspects of the shooting mechanics. The movement penalties for increased accuracy is something I never expected for a Bungie game, and it is unfortunate it is so pronounced. My last point is the most important, but also the hardest to address. I hope some compromise is made in the coming months before release. All said, this is a great game and I can't wait to get my hands on the final product. I'll likely drop more feedback as I sink some more time into the beta.
