TOP 10 THINGS - Bungie MUST FIX in Destiny!

TOP 10 THINGS Bungie MUST FIX in Destiny! Hope DeeJ or one of the other Bungie crew actually read this! 1. Waypoints - When pressing the point button you should be able to set a waypoint that everyone can see, and have it appear on HUD with a range (in meters). These waypoints should also change depending on the object. Waypointing a Fallen, HIve, etc should give a red "ENEMY" waypoint, green "LOOT" for item drops, yellow "CHEST" for chests, purple "VEHICLE" for pikes, interceptors, etc, blue "GHOST" for dead ghosts, and white or grey "WAYPOINT" for everything else such as the ground, a roof, walls, etc. All waypoints should be removable by clicking the waypoint button a second time and not disappear automatically unless 5 minutes pass without response. These may also be useful in PvP with a much quicker half life of around 5 seconds, allowing teams to "tag" important things like enemy snipers, ammo, hiding spots, etc. 2. Increase Freeroam cap to 6 players - After running with a 6 man team in Crucible, sometimes we need a break and want to head to freeroam to run around and chill out. Or maybe one of us found a cool thing and wants to share. Or maybe we all want to partake on a full scale dead ghost/treasure hunt. It sucks to boot 3 of our friends out especially when we have 5 players and 20 mintutes to kill waiting for our 6th man to join us for an event like Iron Banner. 3. Enable Single Player - Many times I was paired with noobs or kids that rushed ahead and ignored chests/loot when going into strikes. Or even worse the kids that were idle or hid from battle, just there to steal exp and rewards. Enable the option to run strikes and set them to solo, invite only, friends only, and public. 4. Enable RANKED and SOCIAL modes, or Disable team splitting - Tired of having my 6 man fireteam split up and forced to fight each other. More often than not when this happens kids sabotage their team to help their friends. At least stop this in Ranked matches. Id prefer not to see it at all, ever. 5. Shared LOOT drops - when an engram, weapon, or consumable drops it should be universal, AT THE VERY LEAST to your fireteam. It should not disappear after pickup, but rather turn translucent so that players can set waypoints on the loot for their friends. 6. Loot Chest Rework - These chests have set respawn locations which is nice, except when they spawn in unreachable places. They should be openable from any angle just by approach rather than the very Zelda-like walk up to the front and manually open. They need longer half lives as they disappear way too fast, so they can be shared with teammates. They need better gear most importantly, scaled to the players currently equipped gear and level. Gear that has stat effects should be all that chests give such as an uncommon rifle with a fast reload perk. And increase the amount of glimmer, even if its random. For example one chest gives 130 while another gives 870. 7. Realtime In-game mini-maps and large maps - Allow pressing a button or two simultaneously to activate maps with realtime data such as player location, vehicles, objectives, waypoints, etc. Many Guardians get lost in Destiny. This need not be the case. Also infinitely more important than a button to "wave hi". 8. Player Names on/under Ships in Load Screens - Bungie... why would we buy ship skins if nobody knows that's our ship? Come on now. 9. Spawn Next To Team after Join In Progress - The worst part of freeroam or accepting an invite to a mission is spawning at the first part of the map and having to travel manually while fighting annoying enemies solo until you reach your team by then they either failed or completed the objective. Please fix this to at least spawn in the same general area or at one of several visible LZs (landing zones). 10. Inventory Rework - first allow players to view all items and gear in a players inventory (not bank, keep that private). If my friend has 4 exotic rifles a legendary shotgun and fusion rifle, 25000 glimmer and 200 ether seeds Id like to see please. Second keep item levels always visible. I hate how it disappears how can I know what to store for my other guardians? My level 8 hunter views a level 6 gun the same as a level 8 yet my level 1 Titan sees their true level. Also this helps when comparing gear with other players. Third show how much glimmer the gear is worth and what youll receive by breaking it down BEFORE you break it down and are sorely disappointed. Also give a warning prompt when trying to dismantle Exotics or Legendries to prevent accidents. Lastly- show a number indicating if you already own the gear and how many. Bungie you made a good game. With these tips it will be a GREAT game. Together we will reclaim Destiny and become Legend. True_Reclaimer Reclaim Destiny Rise. Raid. Reclaim.

  • I disagree with almost every point you make. Your suggestions seem to want Destiny EZ mode, I say go play bin wevils or hayday. I like my games to be challenging not spoon fed to me

    • The one thing that really does need help is the chest spawning. Its great cus it makes the areas more fun to search but I found a chest that was not only unreachable it was backwards so I couldn't open it no matter what I did. There's a building with some ceiling paneling peeling down with a chest on it but it was backwards and the spot was definitely too small to get on top of the paneling.

Or even worse the kids that were idle or hid from battle, just there to steal exp and rewards. Enable the option to run strikes and set them to solo, invite only, friends only, and public
. Not a fan of the wording here of which I disapprove, but ultimately, agreed.
Agreed, though I don't see how the teams can be sabotaged aide from just not killing the foes.
5. Shared LOOT drops - when an engram, weapon, or consumable drops it should be universal, AT THE VERY LEAST to your fireteam. It should not disappear after pickup, but rather turn translucent so that players can set waypoints on the loot for their friends.
Your wording here confuses me. Do you mean that loot should drop the same for each guy, but still be on separate loot streams EG everyone can get a House Banner from the foe, or do you mean that look should be shard between guys. If the former I support, if the latterf I do not since I don't like loot being stolen from me. i also suggest you word this better either way.
6. Loot Chest Rework - These chests have set respawn locations which is nice, except when they spawn in unreachable places. Support (Well, sort of I will explain in a sec.). more Glimmer? No. You see, while I can't confirm this myself it appears chests have three types: Steel or metal or whatever, Silver, and the 5 gold ones. The former 2 spawn, the latter do not. I would say balance it depending on type of chest; Small glimmer and white/green for normal, Blue and more Glimmer for silver, and lots of glimmer an d purples for Gold.
Agreed. Maybe the Ghost could bring up a real time holographic map?
9. Please fix this to at least spawn in the same general area or at one of several visible LZs (landing zones).
Support if on a fireteam or accepting a mission. Not on your own. This is mostly a personal preference however and i would not mind other landing zones in normal explore.
10.
2. Increase Freeroam cap to 6 players - After running with a 6 man team in Crucible, sometimes we need a break and want to head to freeroam to run around and chill out. Also increased voice options would be more helpful, like auto setting it to fireteam voice chat so you could I dunno coordinate your team? maybe tell them to shoot for the legs?
7. Realtime In-game mini-maps and large maps - Allow pressing a button or two simultaneously to activate maps with realtime data such as player location, vehicles, objectives, waypoints, etc. Many Guardians get lost in Destiny. Also infinitely more important than a button to "wave hi".
This is the first thing I've just absolutely hated as an idea because on a personal level I like the absence of a map. I know the space because I spent time and explored. It makes it feel more like a world you're discovering and less like a world you're just passing through.
10. Why do you need to look at other peoples banks and stuff? I just don't get it and it seems like a waste of dev time when other things like voice comms need some serious work.

          • 1. Look-Sensitivity- It's too damn slow! 2. Hit Indicators- This is especially noticeable when in the crucible. You're getting shot at from whichever direction that arrow is pointing, the only problem is that the arrow points on a horizontal plane so all you really see is a red line popup in the middle of your screen, but it's it's near impossible to actually deduce where you're getting hit from without actually seeing the guy shooting you.

                • I think we should be able to sell our weapons or gear to vendors and break them down as well...more resources if you sell the item versus breaking it down

I agree with number 2 and 4. Too many times have I had a full team of 6 in pvp get ripped apart for no apparent reason.

                  • Number 2 and 4 have my vote. Increasing the fire team size for free roam would be great. To make it even better, do a Strike hard mode with 6. Team splitting SUCKS!! Have had it a few times already.. what the hell is the point of getting a group of friends together to play if the game is just going to split our group. It always seems to happen after we completely DESTROY the opposite team like twice in a row.

                      • I agree with 7 definitely. A world map is needed, i sometimes forget if i need to head left or right to get to the specific area i want to get to from the start site. Swipe actions on the touchpad (ps4) aren't used for anything as of yet so are useable. In addition to ur post: When u trade spinmetal in at the quartermasters, there is no idea what you are trading them for and how much. This needs a tooltip adding. They were the only two things i picked up on in exploration that i felt needed adding to benefit everyone.

                          • Many people criticize "noobs", yet they have to understand that not everyone has played every single FPS out there and is an expert marksman. In my case, Destiny is my third FPS (I have Bioshock Infinite and Titanfall ) and I am still learning the ropes.

These may also be useful in PvP with a much quicker half life of around 5 seconds, allowing teams to "tag" important things like enemy snipers, ammo, hiding spots, etc.
Euhm... I agree it might be easier but that's not the purpose. We should all roam this desolated planet scavenging for loot.
2. Increase Freeroam cap to 6 players - After running with a 6 man team in Crucible, sometimes we need a break and want to head to freeroam to run around and chill out.
Unless I misunderstand you already can. Just change your social settings.
Sabotaging is never cool, but you fight for your own k/d ratio. In regards to teams shifting, I like that idea. Three man fireteam never changes but the other three do. So if you have a diff team of extreme noobs and you lose, you can just remain in the lobby for the next game with your team without having to face the same odds. So this would be a maybe.
5. Shared LOOT drops - when an engram, weapon, or consumable drops it should be universal, AT THE VERY LEAST to your fireteam. It should not disappear after pickup, but rather turn translucent so that players can set waypoints on the loot for their friends.
I point toward loot. Also, everybody gets their own loot. Not sure if that means I cannot see the loot my team gets, but everything you get you deserve. Bungie elaborated on their loot system and it's a fair system. It works from the idea that you show off your stuff because you did some cool shit.
All players get the chest. It dissappears for you, but so far my whole team benefits if someone finds a chest, even if it takes forever for the other to get there (e.g. Golden chest on ground floor against Sepiks Prime)
Again... No. Get your ass on that spareow and explore guardian.
8. Player Names on/under Ships in Load Screens - Bungie... why would we buy ship skins if nobody knows that's our ship? Come on now.
Absolutely agreed
Agreed
Seriously what's wrong with you? A players inventory is nobody's business but their own. Second it takes 5 seconds to dismantle an item. You dismantle it accidentally, you're stupid. I do agree with keeping a lvl indication in there, but a lvl 6 gun is significantly less powerfull then a lvl 8 gun, so just reading what's on your screen is an option for you
With these tips it will be a GREAT game
don't be cocky.

                                •
Also give a warning prompt when trying to dismantle Exotics or Legendries to prevent accidents
Just want to point out that not only do you have to hold Square for an extended time but that guns stats, name, and quality indicator are staring you in the face the entire time. If you still dismantle it then you dun goofed.
