For events like Strikes where there are 3 ppl playing against a mission of enemies....at the end or when all players die....there is a tally of who did the most killing/assists/precise kills.
I think it would be a good idea to tally up who did the most damage to bosses.
All I know is that with the new gun I have....I don't pack a mojor punch at once. It has a lot of rounds per mag but all those bullets add up.
So I'm pretty sure I did a good amount of damage to the boss.
Just saying...I've gotten the most kills out of 3 ppl a couple of times....but it would be cool if I could see if for instance I was in a good group and didn't get the most kills if I at least helped on the bosses.
Sorta like Left 4 Dead series where they tally up the damage on the Tanks.

I know, right? I've played a few strikes where all my team-mates ran around punching Dregs, while I did the vast majority of boss-killing. And when the mission ends, it looks like they did a lot better than me, because they spent all of their time killing the cannon fodder!

Yeah it's insulting when you use all your powers and ammo to take down the tank and then some 9 year old comes and hits it with a potato and gets the kill -.-

Agree, would like to see a more in depth mission summary

As of now the Mission Summary page shows the mission and the time it was completed in at the top with three separate stat sheets below it for your fireteam roster. The first stat sheet displays kills, assists, precision kills, and orbs created. The second stat sheet displays primary weapon kills and the third displays revives. I have no problem with these stats, but just as another thread is titled, More Stats Period. To save room to display more stats, I suggest making the three current stat sheets into one stat sheet with six columns. The columns could be labeled 'K', 'A', 'PK', 'OC', 'PWK', 'R'. When you move your cursor over the column label, the description would then display just as is in sports games. For instance, move your cursor over the 'K' and 'Kills' appears. This would save enough room for a secondary stat sheet for two stats that give us a better understanding of how well we played our role; Damage Output and Damage Taken. Once again, I have no experience on the other end of gaming and apologize in advance if this can't/already has/won't happen(ed). In Devils Lair, you have to fight a Devil Walker and Sepiks Prime while waves of enemies attack you. If you avoid the waves of enemies and unload all of your ammo on the bosses, your kills and assists remain unchanged while your teammates get 20-30 'free' kills on you, making it appear on paper as if you did less work than you actually did. This matters to those of us competitive natured gamers. It keeps motivation and interest high when your name is at the top of the board. It also helps make fire-teammates, because people will want to play with you more often. If there was a secondary stat sheet displaying damage output, it would solve this 'problem'. If you added in Damage Taken, it would give a good report on how each guardian played their role. Let's say a Hunter, Titan, and Warlock ran Devil's Lair together. At the end of the mission the Warlock had the most kills, but the Hunter did the most damage while the Titan drew the most enemy fire and had the most assists. Their end time was 10:00 even. Everyone was happy with their performance and motivated to do again, only better.

Bump.

I like the idea; % out of 100 dealt per person would be pretty sweet.
-
Better yet, just have it show total damage done for the run. Why should just the bosses be important? This is especially true if a boss has minions. One person might be dealing primarily with the minions so that the rest of his team can focus on the boss.

I agree

Yes please

Edited by Spinx70: 8/6/2014 5:50:50 PMI didn't see the 'Feedback' tab until just now but I had the same thought. Apparently this is a popular suggestion.

This is a good idea and I think they should get rid of the K/D ratio and just say how many times we died and how many people we killed
-
I agree

one thing i thought that was missing, was when you are damaging an enemy, and your weapon has an upgrade where it does another type of damage, i want to see the amount of damage that i'm inflicting as well as my own so my damage in white, then extra damage in the color of type, i.e orange for fire. thoughts?

This I like. Most damage done towards Devil Walker, and Sepiks Prime. That way the boss-slayer can really brag.
-
Good idea

I disagree. Then you'd have people spamming the boss instead of helping reviving/taking out adds because they want to be top chart. I feel like it's fine as it is.

Given any of us can only truly speak for ourselves, my voice is I am not a fan of parsers in this type of game setting. I know a lot of people love damage meters and a lot of people hate damage meters but regardless of which side you come down on I just do not see how this is a helpful tool for 3 toon strikes and I do not really think Destiny will be so challenging that a any kind of team, regardless of 3x or 6x, is going to need a gear check or dps check to clear the content. Again, this is me and as a side note I intend to always play with only friends - except for PvP.

I approve. Case closed.

Love the idea! It sucks that one person does a lot damage but gets less points because they don't get the kill.

Great idea

Yes. This. I am the assists master. I would like my work accounted for.

Edited by Ewoktapus: 7/29/2014 11:26:59 PMStill won't change the kill count, which shows who truly helped the team. Damage stats dealt to the boss would be nice though.
