My feature wishlist.

So after playing destiny for many hours each day since the beta went live on Thursday, I've had a few ideas as to what I would add/change in the game if I had the power to do so. Currently I do not have that power (yet) so I thought I'd post those ideas here. Firstly let me say that this is all my opinion, and if Destiny launched as it is currently I would still be more than happy. Item Colours: From my experience collecting armor pieces I've noticed that the colour of the item in the small thumbnail image in your inventory is not at all what it looks like when you put it on. For example you might see a chest piece that looks blue but when you put it on it's more of a white colour. Weapon Testing: A place to test weapons like a shooting range in the tower would be a good place to have. Currently you have to go on a mission or explore to get your gun out. This could also be a place you can bring your friends to show them you're collection. Loading Screens: When you buy a ship to replace the default one during the lobby and loading screens, you can't tell it's you unless someone asks "who has the cool purple ship". It would be good if during the flying sequences you could have a gamertag above the ship to show who has what. Whats the point of working hard for a cool looking ship if you can't show it off? Also on the topic of loading screens I would like it if the playercard would show up for more than a few seconds during multiplayer. Right now it's hard to know who is on your team until you're in game. It would be cool if there was a Halo type name list during the flying sequence loading screens. This would also act as a place to show off the emblem you spent hard earned glimmer on. Information: I think that the game needs to give more information about how you gain upgrades/challenges/medals. Currently you'll be playing and suddenly a Grimoire challenge will appear. I should be able to view my progress on those challenges in-game. Upgrades should also have something like this. Right now all we get it a green circle to fill up with no way to know how we get experience towards those upgrades without trial and error. The multiplayer medals that we get in the Crucible by performing certain actions can also be quite confusing. With the exception of the obvious ones like "Double Down" it's hard to understand exactly what I did to qualify for a certain medal. Map Voting: Destiny would benefit from a multiplayer map voting system, even if it was as simple as Halo 3's veto option. While playing in the crucible I played the moon map way more than any other, including the exclusive Iron Banner maps. During an Iron Banner event I played for the whole 2 hours and only played a new map once. Gamechat: While exploring the game you come across other players, it would be amazing if you can stop and talk to them to see what they've been up to, or to even see if they want to join you. Obviously I don't think you should be able to talk to someone on the other side of the map to you, but maybe the people who are in the same area or in your line of sight. Emotions: The d-pad emotions are amazing. So amazing I want more. It would be nice to be able to unlock and equip different emotions to the different d-pad buttons, or even have dual emotions. For example if someone if celebrating taking down a boss you can walk up next to them and join together in a loving dance routine. Mission End: During the story after you complete a mission you only get 30 seconds to explore the surrounding area. I know that's what explore mode is for but it still sucks being taken out of the game when you aren't ready. A option to return to orbit when you're ready would be a nice change.
