After hearing that Destiny wont be a smooth 60 frames per second on next generation consoles simply because Bungie wants the experience to be the same on last generation consoles really disappointed me. I bought an Xbox One just for Destiny and to have the best Destiny experience and I'm being limited because of 10 year old consoles. Bungie big mistake, why would you do this?

You're right op. And to all you aspergers who are too stupid to realize, you can infact tell the difference between 60 and 30 fps. It's quite significant. It really only makes a difference in competitive fps games though.
After hearing that Destiny wont be a smooth 6
I stopped here.

Because activison wants more money.

This thread= Disappointment
-
I am disappointed in this thread.
-
So what rock have you been under for the past few months? Why not play the game first? You people and your #'s lol.
-
Muted until OP actually plays the game.
-
Disregarding this post till OP plays the beta.
-
if you actually play the game, you wouldnt notice it at all

Edited by BR3WM1S3R: 7/24/2014 6:11:54 PMIf you actually play the game then you will realize this is an extremely smooth game. I would never have guessed that it wasn't 60 fps if it wasn't for something I read on the internet. There are absolutely no dips in fps which most other shooters have. I will take a solid 30fps over an unstable 60fps any day
-
Boo friken hoo, don't like it don't buy, tired of you 60 frames Huggies wearing -blam!-s
-
Yep it's very disappointing. I purchased a next gen console for the next gen in console gaming experiences, why shaft me because I did so believing dev's would bring the best possible version out for the next gen consoles!? That's why I can't wait for last gen to die out. Also they sound around 9 million PS4's and over 5 million Xbox ones, that's a HUGE profit margin right there, even if half of the people who purchased each respective console also purchased destiny. Why not give those players the best possible FPS and resolution that the systems could handle.
-
But last gen was 60 FPS so why isn't this game running at 120 FPS. Why aren't all next gen (Xbox one and ps4) games upping the performance and going to 120 FPS. My eyes just can't take it ....they need faster because ......well because numbers ..... And what's worse is when Hollywood blockbuster movies (Transformers, Avatar, and more) are only shot and played at 24 FPS. I can't even watch movies.....or play classic games like Mega Man and Sonic. Jeez 8-bit no thanks. Lmao

If you wanted the Best Destiny experience why get the Xbox which can only get 900p???
-
Oh boy, my framerate isn't smoother than smooth, how can I possibly enjoy the game now
-
The 30fps doesn't bother me at all, but I agree it's very frustrating that they held the game back just for people who can't afford to upgrade from last gen.
-
This is a very poor move on Bungie's part because there isn't even cross-gen multiplayer, so why would there even need to be a reason for the two generations to play the same? Last gen plays with last gen and this gen plays with this gen. If anything, having the game run at a smooth frame rate would give incentive to last-gen gamers to move into the current gen (face it, this is current gen not next gen) of gaming.

Edited by Derpstiny: 7/24/2014 5:48:21 PMThe "Next Gen" Xbox and Playstation consoles simply are not powerful enough to run a game this beautiful at 1080p/60fps. You would need a PC for that.
-
Edited by Final Rune: 7/24/2014 2:18:13 PMPlenty of people have both and plan to play cross console - that way it isn't a different game for the same user?
-
The horse.... Its dead already. Please stop beating on it.
-
I was further reading through the article and noticed that the environmental artist mentioned cross-platform consistency (as you said above). This is absurd because there isn't cross-platform play. There isn't a need to keep consistency between the games if we aren't playing with last-gen gamers! DeeJ, can you explain this to us. Why are we getting the short end of the stick?
-
If you wanted the best Destiny experience, you should've bought a ps4 in the first place.
-
You bought a xbox one to play Destiny for the best experience? You bought the wrong console to start off with. *ignites the flame*
-
Seriously though I'm not.
-
Edited by Belatar: 7/24/2014 2:08:41 PMAfter not caring about the fps bull I decided to play the game. After I did that I realized that 60fps or 1000fps doesn't matter cause what Bungie has hopefully created here is more than that! Gameplay and story drastically out way fps.

Edited by OscillatorSlave: 7/24/2014 12:39:33 PMDon't worry your xbox couldn't even handle it, it's already a lower resolution.
