The Hunter currently at level 8 seems far outclassed by the Titan and Warlock. Grenades - Both Incendiaries and Swarm Grenades barely do enough damage to knock off a shield. I have witnessed a guardian with no shield be hit by every one of my swarm grenades and they walked away with about 75% health. This is laughable when you compare it to the likes of the Warlock. The Warlock grenade can kill you in about 3 seconds from full health and shield. On control one Warlock grenade can take you out before you can even bend the corner while its still incoming. The power difference is easily noticeable and should be looked into. Golden Gun - While I understand that the Hunter has a role to feel more as a sneaky character, the truth is that on Crucible the Golden Gun is harder to use for very little reward. The problem lies in the fact that the golden gun is a slower power to use in comparison to the Warlock and Titan. For instance when the other classes activate their abilities the attack comes out immediately after the animation finishes. For the Golden Gun the animation happens and then you still have to manually aim before you can pull the trigger. This means that you have to try to anticipate your enemy coming and activate your ability ahead of time. In this game however the radar doesn't really let you know if an enemy is coming towards you or away from you. You only really have a general direction which forces your power to become reactionary like the other classes. By restricting the power to a timer as well you severely limit the capabilities of the class. Not only are Hunters given limited ammo but they also have a counter constantly counting down. There is nothing worst then activating your Golden Gun only to have an enemy go another direction or a teammate kill them before you could. Now your power has been wasted and all you can do is wait for the timer to drain out. There may also be a bug on the Titan or a buff that they get when their ability is activated but I have shot several Titans with the GG at point blank range while their power was coming out and I die but they remain alive with about 16% health. I do have video proof of this. The only way to adjust the GG would be. 1. Remove or greatly reduce the GG animation. 2. Remove the timer so that the gun is no longer reactionary. 3. Give the gun more time or more ammo. I personally think that option 1 and 2 separately or together would help greatly. 4. Nerf the power of both Titan and Warlock so that they take longer to activate or have far less impact radius. 4 won't be needed if the Hunter is changed to meet their power levels. So basically I wrote all of this to say that the Hunter is weak. After playing with Hunter in the Alpha and Beta I think it won't be for me. I see nothing Hunter can do that the Titan and Warlock can't already do effectively. While I'm sure going invincible will be a nice touch, characters that go invisible can always still be seen and at close range there will not really be much a Hunter can do. With me seeing little that would make the Hunter even decent at mid to long range I have to question some of the design decisions with the class. Here's hoping that someone will look into this as a serious concerns and not somebody looking to get a leg up on the other classes.
