Quit Posting About The Ammo Reset
People keep making a number of posts complaining that when they change their guns, the ammo disappears. THIS IS NOT A BUG! This is done on purpose. Consider picking up heavy ammo for a machine gun. Let's say you get 90 bullets for the machine gun. Then you switch to a rocket launcher. Those 90 bullets can't magically change into rockets. That just wouldn't make sense, because you'd have a lot of rocket ammo then and be overpowered. It allows for balance in the game, which was Bungie's intent. So please, quit posting that this is a bug, because it isn't. It is simply a game mechanic to add challenge to the game.

Agreed. The mechanic of wiping the ammo when switching makes perfect sense. It also forces people to think about their loadouts a bit more before going into battle.

1 ReplyI found an ammo reset bug actually. I was playing devils lair and completely ran out of ammo and on my last shot, poof, full ammo for every weapon I had. Primary secondary and heavy. Is that suppose to happen?

Maybe not for your Heavy weapon, but for Special definitely. Though, perhaps it should decrease it down to 1/4 of what it was, but not put you at zero.
