Digital is just simpler, more streamlined, less cumbersome. And no more store clerks trying to shove preorders down my throat. Or trying to convince me I need disc protection. I got off that hamster wheel a long time ago.
This. Digital Guardian Edition for me. It allows me to share my downloads with my brother's PS4. So we can buy a game once and both play it together. Plus having a physical disc is old news. Having the download linked to my profile forever is much better. I can delete and download as many times as I see fit. If I'm running low on HDD space, delete a game for another one. I'm going all digital with PS4 and its gonna be great.

    • I'm focusing on all digital. This is true on my 3DS, Vita, PS4 and Xbox One. I don't trade in games (I rarely lent any out these past few years). With the new games, you have to install on the HDD anyway... I love misplaced, or scratched discs... Disc swapping, potential theft, more shelves to hold more cases... Theoretical situation: you experience a catastrophe, like a fire. You get your family out safe, but lose all your stuff. It's not until you get a new console, and new copies of your games, can you play again. Unless you went digital. As soon as you got hold of a controller, you'd just enter your account info, and BOOM! There's your whole library, purchase history, game saves, etc. For me, digital is just simpler, more streamlined, less cumbersome. And no more store clerks trying to shove preorders down my throat. Or trying to convince me I need disc protection. I got off that hamster wheel a long time ago.

      • Digital, we get to preload, and we get all the collectors goodies like the special ghost and stuff.

      • Recently made the switch to Digital Downloads via installation of an SSD on the Playstation 4. Reasoning: 1. Pre-Downloads (PSN) 2. Shorter Load Times (SSD) 3. Faster Graphical Rendering (SSD) I have no plans to trade in Destiny.

        • Digital copies are convenient in the fact that there is no disk swapping. Physical copies are less expensive if you wait a month or so after the game comes out (on Amazon.com). Example: As of now BF4 is $59.99 on PS store, on Amazon.com it's 40 dollars. That's why I buy most of my games from Amazon, I would rather wait and get a deal rather then get it now and pay 20 bucks more.

        • I will almost always buy the physical copy. I like it more. This is one of the few exceptions: I pre-ordered the digital version of Destiny through the PSN store. I wanted to make sure I got into the alpha and it was just more convenient at the time to purchase it that way. I'm starting to like the digital copies more and more, but I worry I'd fill up my hard-drive! (@,@)

        • I'm buying digital. I don't like to change discs. Also I don't like disc check to halt my loading times. No disc =no noise. And less heat. I can preload. And start playing at midnight. I like to have my games when visiting friends. No need for bringing a disc. Disc can break, scratch or be eaten by mice.

          • Here's the deal, everyone is excited and anxious for this game, but in the end, the sliver of time you will lose on the physical copy doesn't compare to the time you will put into this game. Just think about where your priorities lie beyond that point.

          • Both, physical CE to lovingly hold and smell, digital to pre-load and play.

            • I usually get copies of the game, i enjoy it more than just downloading it. But since you can pre load Destiny on the PS4 starting the 4th of september, i went with digital this time.

            • I'll be buying the Destiny Collectors Edition as soon as its announced, so physical here. Saying that, I do really like the idea of pre-downloading so I might eventually go down the Digital path but only if there's some kind of pricing incentive to do so. At the moment with Aussie prices on the PSN store it often costs more to buy digital than to go purchase a physical copy from a store which is just ludicrous.

            • I decided to get the physical copy because GameStop usually had some nice extras and I wanted to meet some if the people in the area that are going to be playing so I can see about setting up a local fireteam.

                • Physical for possible collectors edition. If that (somehow) doesn't end up happening, I'll probably go digital with the standard game

Id rather have the physical copy. I've had bad experiences with digital.
