New forums leads to more spam?
The new forums have only been up for about an hour or so, but already I'm seeing everyone thinking since its all so new that they have to post about how cool it is, and I'm hoping that it wont turn into how it was when the site was brand new, because we all know how hectic that was now don't we. Its pretty cool and all how they have 5 NEW forums, but I think with all the new forums, if we don't get some new mods, we're all going to see even more spam, but of course the bad has to come with the good.

Ok I just took my very first tour through all the forums, and since Coylter and myself are creating Chapters to help out the mods, and theres 5 new forums to keep up with, I was thinking, the milita could take the The Underground, New Mombasa, and the Library. While the Keepers could take The septagon, The Maw, and The Flood. What do you think Coylter?

Well thats coylters, talk to him about it, mine is The Keepers of (the) Peace. Is THAT ok? -EDIT- Stosh or shishka please answer this for me; Ok since New mombasa, The maw, and The libarary, all cover halo, then will halo related topics still be allowed in The Underground, or will they be moved/locked? Bah anyway we cant create any chapter....... BTW : Halo post are already getting moved from the underground to "new mombasa" or "library" [Edited on 5/25/2004 2:57:03 PM]

Yea mine was also already sent ...like 3 or 4 day ago. But i dont think they will accept it.....or very little chance.

Oh well....I'm determined to sooner or later become a mod, wether it be now, or 2 years from now. So I'll sit and wait...and besides...patience is a virtue.

Btw the forum militia was not a bad idea. It was more like a membership to anybody who help the community while using the forums. Your point is....? (long story coming up, brace yourself) I'm determined to work for bungie one day, but thats after i get my 6 years of college doing computer graphics, and art, and all the other stuff you need. So I figure if I work hard enough at becoming a mod, and one day become one, once i apply to work for bungie (when a spot is open of course) I can say I'm so and so from bungie.net, I was one of your mods. But thats all besides the point.

I'm a bit worried about what the new forums bring into play. New Mombasa killed the Underground, so it's now next to worthless. The Maw was never really that active in the first place. And The Library is spreading the Halo releatd topics way too thin (as well as further killing the Underground). If it were my choce I'd put the Library and New Mombasa into one general Halo Xbox forum. Otherwise I feel like I have to sift through a ton of forums just to be able to answer all of the questions people ask.

Thats really weird...it says Banshee Barron has posted here but I see no post of his... -EDIT- Now I do. -Edit 2- I agree with you Barron, I want to be as much help to the community as I can, and with all of these new forums to keep up with, its alot more work, even though its just our decision to help out, but still, mods will have to work just as hard, but I guess once they get their new mods in (please be me, please be me :-D) it should help. The "forum militia" is a bad idea simply because you can't do anything about it. The only thing you can do - nay, must do - is to PM a mod and they'll sort it out for you. You don't need a chapter to do that.
