I'm wondering the same thing. Playing the beta on PS4 and really enjoying it, haven't noticed any lag but would really love to know if Sony has any datacenters here in Oz (That Destiny will make use of).

After playing the beta and on both consoles, I'm leaning towards XB1. Did consistently much better in the Crucible on the XB1 with the same class/similar gun than on the PS4 (Suspecting lag as enemy player's health rarely dropped after I landed shots), and on a couple of occasions on the PS4 an enemy player would drop and only after about 2 seconds would the kill be awarded to me (After I started wondering if he got sniped during the firefight). That and with Sony's current financial situation, I just don't trust that they'd be interested in providing an "equal" service to Oz (And even without a financial situation, Acti/Blizzard still don't with regards to WoW), so if it's NOT on Azure servers, I'm not holding out hope. Would love to buy the game, but do want to hear an official answer on this. It will affect the quality of the product in the end, so I'm not buying if I don't know what the quality of the service will be.

It will be hosted through the azure servers, bungie has their own of course but I believe xbox one users alike will be ran through azure's. This isn't concrete information but I can't see how we would be placed on a substantially weaker server base when there's a readily very good server awaiting. I think bungie will process other means along their own servers but share it through.
