Do you think there will be a choosable difficulty level on
-
Edited by Hwaorong: 5/29/2014 5:56:44 PMI think it will scale with levels but what i hope is that you can do raids n stuff and choose maybe like veteran raid? Or something. I think that would be fun. Edit; also maybe if you have a fireteam leader thats a higher level you could fight enemies of their level instead of yours?

No there will not be a difficulty to choose, considering the fact that it is online only, although it can very much feel like a single player campaign if you play by yourself. If you could pick a difficulty for the game, it'd have to be for everyone. It wouldn't make sense for one player to have a very hard mode on, and one very easy. It all depends on the mission. How many enemies, what kind of enemies, etc... There is no difficulty.

I say GTA 5 style no level of difficulty but just a gun and a mission.

i think Bungie will implement five difficulties: Call of Duty (Wimp/noob) Easy Meh. (normal) Heroic (Halo/hard) Flappy Bird (impossible)

I can feel my intelligence waning in this forum.

I think maybe it's set up like diablo where the enemies are hard depending level and you can increase this like a master 5 mode or something

Edited by Draevynn95: 5/29/2014 5:45:28 PMI'm pretty sure it will be leveled areas. Think Borderlands or WoW. Basically, if you aren't leveled enough, you will have enemies scaled above your ability to kill in some areas. Chances are, it won't be a Halo-esque type of campaign. Given it's constantly multiplayer environment, that would be too linear. You get quests, level up, and eventually finish the main quest line. I guess Oblivion or Skyrim would be good examples of my point as well.

What if difficulty is time based? This would only grant you normal and hard modes, but difficulty could be set to increase dramatically during the night.

No, just no. I don't want CoD noobs claiming they're pros

Highly doubtful because of the interactivity of the matchmaking system. Its complicated enough as it is, I'd be surprised if they put even more strain on it by making it compare difficulty levels.

Maybe they could do like Bastion or Halo did; including items -idols and skulls- that increased the difficulty as you saw fit. However, they could only be viable when playing solo, because you would be putting your fireteam at risk.
