This is a feature that many other forums have, and I think it'd be pretty useful t have on B.net. It'd make it easier to give people credit in a thread, specify who first said something in a quote, etc.. It wouldn't be that difficult to implement (at least, I don't think it would be. My knowledge of web coding is minimal), and it could work pretty simply from a user-standpoint. For example, if I wanted to tag a user I could simply place an "@" symbol before their name. This tag would automatically turn the name into a link to that person's account, and they would receive a notification that they were tagged. As an example here's how it would look while I'm composing a thread/reply:[quote]Do you remember @Crossbone's last thread?[/quote]and it would come out like this: [quote]Do you remember [url=http://www.bungie.net/7_crossbone/en/view/profile/index#!page=index&mid=2701123]Crossbone[/url]'s last thread?[/quote] In addition to the automatic reformatting, the tagged user (myself, in this scenario) would receive a notification. Anyway, would this be a possible feature to implement? Again, my knowledge on webcoding is pretty minimal, but this doesn't really seem like an incredibly difficult thing to add.
