The site upgrade
Achronos said in a news post today:
"We're making a sizable update on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM PDT, but this update requires us to take the site offline for a while. So, all bungie.net web services will be offline from 10 AM to sometime around noon Pacific, probably sooner.
There will be several VERY visible changes made tomorrow, some smaller ones, and a gigantic change that you'll never even notice. Unfortunately, because I'm somewhat evil, I'm not saying anything. You have to come back tomorrow afternoon"
So. What are we to expect? I reckon it's fairly obvious that the "VERY visible changes" will include the new forums. Maybe some new avatars or something as well. Not sure what else. It's not content - I'm pretty sure they don't need to take the site offline to add movies and screenshots and what-have-you. So what does Achronos have in store for us?

And maybe they'll start archiving posts that are on the 265 page. And maybe [color=Red]color[/color] that you put in will actually show up in the posts.

As long as this update includes [color=red][b][i]CLEARING THE -blam!-ING CHAPTER QUEUES!!!!![/i][/b][/color] I'll be happy. It's worse than waiting for Halo 2 really. [Edited on 5/24/2004 9:09:47 PM]

The gigantic change we'll never even notice will definitely (NOT defiantly :P) be incorporating Halo 2 statistics with the 7th column/Bungie.net. Think about it, that would be a huge change. It would make it compatible so it is possible for us to see our stats or whatever from here when Halo 2 comes out. We won't notice it because Halo 2 won't be out until November 9th. So that's what I assume the huge change that we won't notice is. Yes, I bet it'll include new mods and an off topic forum.
