I wouldn't say I learned to control my anger. I simply realized that there are so much more satisfying ways to get what you want. Keeping your cool in a public scene makes everyone around you pretty much instantly side with you. It also has the added benefit of making the other person even more angry. Simply put, becoming angry just clouds your judgement and you make poor choices. By being cocky or a smart ass instead, you often get what you ultimately wanted that you wanted to get angry over and you definitely assert yourself above the situation and the other person(s), if there were others involved.
