Are you ok with enemy healthbars?

Yes

No

I recently learned that in combat, we'll see our enemies health bar. Some would argue that this makes the game less immersive, while others like the idea. Give this a vote and throw in your two cents.

  • Yes and no, yes because it lets me know how much longer I have to kill something, but no because I like to enjoy the wondering of if I'm even close to killing something

      • If people dont like it, than they should make them optional in the menus.

As long as they're not made with artificial or GMO ingredients, I don't really care what kind of health bars they are.

      • I liked the feeling of knowing exactly how many shots it would take to kill someone without seeing a health bar for competitive, but I think I'll like the health bars in terms of cooperative.

        • Make it a toggle; everyone pleased. If everything was that easy... Though it depends if some bosses have strategies depending on their health, it would be useful knowing when to look for cover.

        • Yeah, it's fine with PvE and the level system. I have a feeling Destiny's leveling/enemy system will seem familiar to any Runescape fans (or other games for that matter).

        • It doesn't have to break immersion. For all we know our helmets read the enemies' vitals and display it.
I know this is far fetched, but if you don't want it to break immersion it's a good way to look at it
• I think that its fine, it only shows up when the target is in your crosshair so it won't be like "hey you, I'm low health, you can shoot me". I think it will be more subtle, so you need to pay attention to tell their health. Most of all though, it is extremely important for boss battles, anyone who has every fought a boss with no health bar would know that it is a pain in the neck to be putting round after round into it, and not knowing if your even leaving a mark.

            • If enemies scale with you and have different amounts of health, i'd say it would be good to know their health. This is a tough one though because I want to feel more immersed at the same time.

I think they are a good idea, considering I like to know whether or not my weapons are doing any good against an enemy. And for me at least, they don't really affect my 'immersion' in the game. If, in real life, I had access to armor and a helmet with a built in HUD that was able to accurately estimate the 'health' of enemies, I'd want it without a doubt.

              • i like the idea yes, it's more simple to get to grips with, but if you want to see health by pain like i do my self , i do want the option to turn this off.. just to make at least my skills and feel to the game more epic and real... it would be cool to say i know he's about dead he's limping all over the place like a zombie frog. and so others would learn like a true warrior .. ya know so that you can show your skill by this way, where as other will still be learning what looks like near death, lol. but i think destiny needs a health bar anyway..it's that type of game .. it works better for me, just needs an option to turn it off for your self i think.. =D

well...for any enemies where you must hit a specific spot to damage it, the health bar good to know whether you're actually doing damage. for standard ones, however, i feel halo went the right way, with the popping of shields being indication enough of the enemy's health

                • I like it because it informs me if I can actually still take on the enemy. EX: if I was fighting a boss and I did very little damage, it would be good to know its HP that so maybe I can come back with a better strategy/ or weapons to fight it.
