Secondary powers on weapons.

Okay I like Skyrim. Actually I love Skyrim. It's got it's boring kiddie game play and it's got a massive map and easy missions, but there is just something about it that makes me go GTA V you're outta here. So let's get to the point of the post. If you picked up Dawn Gaurd then you know about the Special Dawn Gaurd weapons that you can find. If not Spoilers so get out now! There's a Hammer that sets fire traps and a Shield that creates a ball of light around the player to damage Vampires. That's the mechanic I want to talk about when it come to our guns and gear in Destiny. One of the main problems for Magic users is setting up a target and picking a spell to fight with. From Fable to Zelda you had to pause and sorta figure out what to go with. Even if it's not in Destiny it would be nice if you could attach a spell or focus to the weapon in some future game so you can snap right to it like holding down the block in Skyrim or switching out ADS for some sphere of energy that heals your teammates. Just throwing this out there because I'm really tired of what class will you play as over and over threads. So what kind of alternative power would you want to spring up from your magical gun?

  • Well, exotics do have skill trees that include unique perks/abilities. For example, Closing Time allows you to become invisible when to scope-in/aim, Red Death has health buffs and Gjallarhorn has an AoE upgrade. Is that what you mean?
