do you think there's a reasonable chance that a few years down the road, bungie will buy back halo from microsoft? that would be awesome and they could make even more money

Think about it all good things must come to an end or they will eventually suck. Example Call of duty was great but after a while it was the same thing every year and it got boring. I think that bungie did the right thing and stopped making halo games because they wanted their halo to well send it out with a bang

Bungie made a smart move by letting go! They could have easily made some money by outselling the franchise, but they want to make games, they want to play themselves!! Halo 1&2 were amazing, and i think after those 2 pearls, they already had this vision of destiny! Like, when you draw something, and after your like 3/4 done, you imagine the bigger and better next project. 3 and Reach were good games, but i personally liked Halo 2 the most. Sometimes simplicity is key! Long story short: In bungie i trust, and i bet playing destiny will be key to let Halo R.I.P.

Edited by Commander Tempu: 2/7/2015 2:47:24 AMDestiny is not doing any Better. It might be a few points higher than lets say 343i new Halo 5 but the reality is that all Bungie has is Multiplayer with grinding. Music art and gunplay. Yawn. It will happen as people stop buying Destiny and realize they could get the Next COD to come out. Bungie will be hurting financially if more and more people stop playing the " 10 Year plan." I figure Destiny has only a few more good years left. Bungie i think is starting to feel that its trapped. Bungie will be in Dire Straights in a few years if Destiny does not sell well. So guess what ? That means they Make Halos again. They should have made a few more for money in the Pocket. Might have kept Joe and Marty. Bungie shot its self in the foot three times. Once in trusting Activision. Second is getting rid of the people who might be vital to its future. and third for being money grubbing asshats.

Eh, I don't hope so. 343i has done wonders in giving chief an actual character, getting much more intricate in the lore, and just making a beautiful game on an incredibly outdated machine, even by console standards.

It's my personal dream. 343i and M$ decided to turn Halo into a money-making franchise. Bungie in the other hand, always wanted to develop games for their fans. Halo is dead without Bungie and I personally think there's a little chance for them to develop a future Halo game. That would happen when ALL Halo fans stop from supporting Halo and the franchise flops. It's hard though. It's like asking Mario games to not sell. But I would be pleased if M$ decides in a future to return Bungie to their desks. 343i is better with Kinect games, because they destroyed my Halo.

The only thing I could imagine is Microsoft paying Bungie to take it back if Halo 5 is terrible.
-
It won't happen
-
Of course! Once Bungie takes over the world they will own everything!!!
-
Yes, as soon as the slingshot gets built.

Micro$oft is milking the heck out of Halo. Since Halo 3, bungie has wished to be done with it. That's when Micro$oft milked it. So no. I don't see any chance. And that is a good thing. Halo was awesome, but Destiny will be bigger.

No, first of all Halo is the flagship franchise of Xbox. It's like asking if Nintendo will sell off Mario. Not to mention with Microsoft turning Halo into a multimedia franchise (especially now that it includes an in the works TV show) there is absolutely no chance that a company the size of Bungie would have the money equal to the worth of the Halo brand. The closest thing that might happen is Microsoft licensing the brand out to Bungie again if they choose to make a new Halo.

No, mate. That's not how it works.
