Someone said to me that Awkwardness was an emotion, I did not see it the same way and thought of it as more of a Sense like Hearing or Touch, or a State of Being. But there are emotions that can compliment a moment of awkwardness like Disgust or Embarrassment.
But what do you guys think?

Edited by Verbatim: 10/25/2013 9:39:19 PMIt's just what happens when you aren't 100% comfortable with a given situation. I wouldn't call it an emotion. Like, at all.

I think emotions come first(whatever emotions they maybe), which then affects your state of being. I'd say it's a mix of both, but to be accurate, awkwardness in itself is the state at which you are being, it is not an emption.
