•
Posted by: tommi pesu Bungie will only release a demo after Halo 2 is out so we can really see the beaties of Halo 2.
i don't think they'll even do that. i think they'll just make the gaming public who didn't pre-order Halo 2 have to wait in line after Halo 2 is is sent to all those who did pre-order, and to those who are fast to their nearest wal*mart and such. -Mooman1014

 • The E3 demo was anything but a completely playbale version of that level. It was basically just a bungie employee with a controller in his hand while a video ran. Pretty much everyone with a box is gonna buy this game, who exactly do they have to win over with a demo? Just consider Halo 1 a demo and wait patiently.

 • First, please spell out words, that's painful to read. Finally, the playable demo wasn't meant to be played by eveyone, it was setup to showcase Halo 2's features. Take it a step further and you have to realize that Bungie is busy at work on the game. Is it really necessary for them to release a demo of a game that you know you are going to buy? Honestly, demos take time (and therefore money) to create, but it's worth it as a promotional material. Halo 2, however, needs no extra hype. THAT'S why we haven't seen a demo, and we probably won't until close to the game's release - if not after. btw - why would there be a demo of a game that (at the time) was over a year away from being released?

 • Because, they wan't the gameplay and graphics and everything to feel breathe taking when you first play the full version. That and they were in no position to release a demo back then.

 • bungie wants us to writhe and die. ;) seriously tho. Bungie never released the demo because then it would ruin the surprise of the whole game. you'd know every single little thing to do on that level, essentially giving the people with money (i.e. preps) and advantege over the poverty people (i.e. me). there you go. -Mooman1014
