I posted something that I thought was appropriately edited to make it "less offensive", but some members have stated that I crossed the line.
As a result (and since I accept that my position, persona and.... popularity? would make it less likely that people would appropriately report it) I am asking (via PM) that one of my fellow ninja give me a time out.
Fair is fair. If I did something that crossed the line, I feel that I should be accountable.
Since the ban would apply to the OP and then kill the topic, I am making this "sidebar" topic in case people wish to discuss the matter after the ban is applied, the OP removed, and during my absence.
See you guys in a while.

lol at the melodramatic dramas of the flood.

Didn't this happened twice? I swear I remember an earlier thing like this before July. Before this year actually.

Edited by qy: 12/29/2013 4:27:33 AMEvery time I read this, I just imagine a shogun falling on his sword or something equally dramatic and cheesy.

How does Camnator get away with his shitty "booty" threads then?
-
If he's trying to accept his punishment like other community members then he needs to make an alt account named Recon Number 55 to bypass the rules with.
-
Who necro-bumped this thread? It's from July.

Edited by Kody: 12/31/2013 6:21:54 AMThe point of banning someone is to teach them a lesson. Asking to be banned so you can learn your lesson is paradoxical, as in the OP you've stated your reasoning as being that you've done wrong. But you're acknowledging your so-called mistake so there isn't much to gain from a ban. Unless you want to exhibit your humility, which would in turn be a demonstration of your ego. Or that you wish to prove that moderators can be banned for almost-trivial things as well, in which case you'd also be wrong; it's not nearly convincing when you self-impose the ban, rather than be forced into it like everyone else. EDIT: The post in question wasn't even ban-worthy anyway. You were seemingly playing people-pleaser.
-
You could always just ban yourself like Achilles did.

Seriously?
