If you could describe the Halo games as persons...

Halo: Combat Evolved - The war vet who fought for change and reformation once he came home. Halo 2 - The successful billionaire who is envied by other companies. Halo 3 - The outstanding older brother of the family, who also, is at times the over-hyped 90's kid of the family. Halo Wars - The brainy guy in high school who may end up being your boss. Halo 3: ODST - 3's younger brother who is gaining in reputation among his peers. Halo Reach - That tough, grizzly soldier who served with CE Halo 4 - That Young adult who droops out college his senior year and becomes a horrible drug addict that is now seeking a cure in rehab. Tell me your version of Halo and other game series's families.

  • CE: The old best friend of yours you met in Elementary School. You don't talk to him a lot anymore and you don't really remember a lot about him except that he was fun to hang around back in the day. 2: After CE moved he became your new best friend. He was fun to play with but at times he did stuff you didn't like, like not answering phone calls, borrowing things and never giving them back, he also made you pay when he invited you to do stuff. 3: 2 moved to the same town as CE and 3 became your new best friend during High School. You guys shared tons of fun times together and he would always invite you to crazy parties where tons of people would be at and he had tons of friends. Everyone loved him. He was also very creative and loved construction and sculpting. Wars: The foreign exchange student from your Sophomore year. You talked to him but never became more than just decent friends. He moved back to his home country after a few years. ODST: 3's younger brother. He was a freshman when you were a junior. When 3 introduced you to him you guys became friends instantly. He was just like 3 and more. He was great to hang around with and he was friends with everyone. He was also very unique though and was his own person. He wasn't as creative as his older brother. Reach: During your last year of High School Reach moved to town. Everyone was talking about him before he even showed up telling stories of how great he was and how cool the parties he went to were. He was also great at art, better than 3 even. During the end of your Senior year a lot of people stopped talking to him though, his parties got a lot smaller and the tales of him being the greatest alive slowly faded away. 4: Your college roomate. When you first met him you were pumped, he seemed like a great guy. But as you stayed with him you learned his flaws and became really irritated with him. He's still your roomate, and you're getting used to his flaws but you'll never like him as much as your other friends.

    • Halo: CE - An old man that tells awesome stories of his life in a cool southern voice. He has so many cool stories that they don't get old. Halo 2 - The CEO of 7 companies and been known as the riches man on earth. Halo 3 - The prodigy in his family and everybody looks up to him, but sometimes the family expects to much from him at times. Halo Wars - That guy in class who sits in the corner of the class and only has something funny to say once a week. Halo 3: ODST - The hot younger sister who kinda lives in the shadow of her prodigy brother, but it still fun to hang out with. Halo Reach - A buff dude with a deep voice who throws parties every Friday. Halo 4 - Use to be a successful manager for a thrift store, but is now a crackhead on the street who refuses to see help for his drug addiction.

I'm a bit of a coder, so you may all notice a common theme here... Halo: Combat Evolved is a digital mogul responsible for creating many important technologies. Some of these are closed-source, and thanks to CE's intense charisma, they have become wildly successful. One of his other ventures is effectively open-source, and are eagerly extended and embellished by a passionate community. Combat Evolved is a legend, a gentleman, and a scholar, regarded by many as the pinnacle of his field. Halo 2 is a powerful political figure, the leader of a revolution that relied heavily on the tech created by Combat Evolved. His government is known for its powerful transparency, with virtually every statistic of its operation available to the people. Unfortunately, it's not particularly secure, and its police force is poorly-equipped. Robberies, scams, and corruption tend to run rampant at the lower levels of government. Even so, Halo 2 is seen as a benevolent man and a good leader. Halo 3 is Combat Evolved's granddaughter, and like CE, she has a strong interest in technology. Though many techies believe that her products and craftsmanship are inferior to those of her grandfather, Halo 3 has nonetheless been at the forefront of a technological revolution: she created a social network that became the most popular and powerful of its time. She's seen by many as being as influential as her gramps. Halo 3: ODST, Halo 3's brother, is more of an artsy fellow. He did design work for one of his sister's smaller ventures, a collaborative art program. ODST's work brought artists together for an unprecedented experience, allowing them to paint masterpieces without taking the challenge out of it. It didn't take off as much as Halo 3's seminal work, despite borrowing heavily from her tech (with her permission), but ODST's work still received its fair share of praise, appealing strongly to a smaller crowd. Halo: Reach is ODST's son, a idea man whose ambition often exceeds his ability. Attempting to compete with his aunt, he released his own social network. Unfortunately, though it had a solid backbone, it also relied on bleeding-edge standards that weren't finalized, leading to nasty problems and, eventually, a vicious reaction from consumers. Even after receiving mass hate, though, Reach's works are still looked upon by some with a favorable eye, thanks to his incredible talent at UI design -- something he picked up from his dad. Halo 4 is Halo 3's teenage daughter, and predictably, she's entered the family business. However, she often finds herself in over her head: like Reach, she focuses too much on the future, leveraging technologies that simply aren't finished or well-supported. Unlike Reach, she's really bad at UI. Even without those issues, she still has the deck stacked against her: her youth and inexperience tends to result in rushed releases with many missing features. Even so, she's learning and improving -- she may not have released the best products, but all things considered, she's damn good at maintaining them.

Picture kids taking a writing test: Halo CE - The one who wrote a straight to the point but powerful essay with neat handwriting Halo 2 - The one who used rich vocabulary and information, but left you wanting more Halo 3 - The one who fired you up and left a solid completeness after reading. Halo Wars - The one who wrote in a different language. ODST - The one who wrote a short essay, but from a unique perspective. Reach - The one who went above what was required, but overdid it at times and had sloppy handwriting Halo 4 - The one who copied everyone else's answers

          • CE: The simple guy, with simple needs and wants. Halo 2: The competitive guy, always wants to win. Halo 3: Not to different from Halo 2, likes to spice things up a bit with some little changes. Halo ODST: The quiet guy, enjoys being who he is - because things won't change for him, and he doesn't mind. Halo Reach: The unpredictable and controversial girl. Some love her, some hate her, but we can agree that she is unique. Halo 4: The teenager finding his way, experimenting and an idealist. We've all been in his shoes. Halo Wars: Who?

CE: A daring businessman who took a step above all others. Who will eventually become a multi millionaire. 2: CE's first son. He would follow in his fathers footsteps. Being just as successful and making just as many bold business moves. He'd go on and retire happily. 3: 2's younger brother. He played things much safer than his father or his older brother. Risk taking wasn't his style, but everyone still loved him. Wars: A very intelligent young man, but his uncommon set of talents left him alongside a small minority. Leaving him to be forgotten over time. ODST: A very shy person, kept to himself, but had a great personality once you knew him. No one accepted who he was or his unique style at first but many would eventually appreciate him. Reach: The very radical distant cousin. Always wanted to improve things, never tried to check anything or think twice, he'd go on to make many faults through his life, leaving a bad rep among some. 4: A high school drop out. Who would rather be go out and try to impress the other games, like Black Ops 2. He would lose sight of what he really is because he just wanted to fit in with the "cool" kids.

Halo CE: A dying old war-hero who established an empire. Everyone loves him but can't accept the fact that he's old and worn-out. Halo 2: A greater-than-middle-aged man who was very successful and respected by many, but retired a while ago. Halo 3: A younger yet very successful and respected man who took the empire's throne when his father stepped down, and lived up to his name. Halo Wars: The son that was disowned due to questions of legitimacy, though he's a pretty cool guy. Halo 3 ODST: The younger brother who is respectable but not quite on par with his older brother. He is a pretty nice guy. Halo Reach: The special child who sits in the corner drooling all over himself while most people try to forget he even exists. Some people play with him every once in a while and maybe feed him while they are at it. Halo 4: The shady younger brother with a bad reputation... a reputation that he doesn't really care about despite his important name.

Halo 1: An ambitious entrepreneur who found fortune and fame. Halo 2: Same guy who innovated himself to find even more fortune and fame. Halo 3: Played it a little safe for his last project before retirement, but was still loved by many. Halo 3: ODST: The entrepreneur's understudy. Expanded on the entrepreneur's final project in a different way and found success in the more "artsy" market. Halo: Reach: The entrepreneur's replacement. His innovations were met with mixed reception, but was accepted by most. Halo 4: Pulled out of retirement by a new head, "mainstream" ideas polluted his ways in a lazy attempt to find success in a larger market. This was not met well, but has not given up in trying to rebuild his reputation. Hope is on the horizon. Halo Wars: The entrepreneur's ideas were outsourced, and a new man presented them in a very different way. It was overlooked but stable in another market. Halo: Spartan Assault: A partner of the entrepreneur who is trying to squeeze out some more money. Halo 5(?): The entrepreneur's latest attempt of retribution, raising mixed opinions across the market. Note: Halo, 2, 3, CEA, 4, and 5 are the same guy.

            • How about I describe it like one person? Halo: CE - Fresh out of college, brings plenty of new ideas to the company that hires him. However, he's a bit unrefined because of his lack of experience. Halo 2 - Still has some fresh ideas and he's much more experienced, resulting in very high quality work. Halo 3 - You can tell he's losing his creative streak, but the experience he has allows him to stay relevant and deliver exceptional work. Halo Wars - His work is going so well, he decides to try to do something new on the side. It is pretty awful, and he abandons that new line of work. Halo 3: ODST - Determined to not fall into a rut and to try to get the creative passions going, he pitches a crazy new idea. The higher ups approve, given his track record in the past. However, a lot of what was so good about his past work is lost in the process. Everyone makes mistakes though, so he is able to continue working. Halo Reach - Worried about his job security at this point, he decides to peek at the work at some of the fresh faces at the company and try to steal some of their ideas and integrate them in with his own. The project is a disaster and he's laid off. Halo 4 - He's working at a new company, and he takes his past experience and works to integrate that knowledge into his new company. Perhaps one day something will spark his creative side once again, and he'll relive his glory days...

Halo CE - The one who started out as a young kid, had so much ambition, great story teller, hung out with his friends in a group most of the time, grew up to be a legend of the family name Halo 2 - CE's younger brother, really changed things and had built a name of its own, a very social kid, CE is pretty proud of 2 Halo 3 - The biggest game changer since CE, had a lot of new ideas, a very social and creative guy who was the first to be savvy with the digital age, 2 and CE are extremely impressed ODST: Born right after 3, a superb story teller and hung out with his friends in groups, very much similar to his older brother CE, wasn't liked at first but over time people began to see how great he was and is now very respected Wars - Very different from his brothers, had a different skill set, but fans of his skills really liked him, the smart kid of the group Reach: The most radical of the bunch, brought a lot of new ideas to the table, changed a lot of things, made some mistakes, a lot of people are mixed on this guy but overall he's pretty good 4 - The kid born in the digital age, hangs out with the next door neighbor's kid Call of Duty (A little too much), decided to try and be more like his friend, a lot of people really don't like 4 for trying too hard and now he's trying to win everyone back by throwing in a bunch of cosmetics and remakes, usually has his homework done by his other friend Certain Affinity 5,6, and beyond: Mom needs to stop having sex, these kids are getting worse

Halo: CE - A fearless traveler whose persona is based on what he's learnt from the various cultures he's explored. Halo 2: The wife of the traveler, like-minded yet more ambitious and has a way with words, but can't quite live up to her promises. Halo 3: Daughter of fearless and ambitious. Learns from both and values balance; which is payed for by not soaring as high or sinking as low. Halo 3: ODST - The city-steady brother of fearless. Loves jazz, rain, alien pizza, and wears sunglasses indoors. Halo 4 - A son living in his fathers shadow, so desperate to make a name for himself, he forgets--- ney, deliberately denounces everything his father tought him, but doesn't change surname when he releases his piece of work.

                • Halo CE- The brains of the family. He was the smartest child born into the family. He went on to become a successful millionaire over the years and became a role model for other games, including his siblings. Halo 2- The new addition to the family. He was inspired by his older brother, Halo CE, to become successful as well. He was on the right path at first but hit some bumps on the road. It took him awhile to get back on his feet and he ended up doing great. Halo 3- Another addition to the family. He took his oldest brother's advice, Halo CE, and became probably even more successful than Halo CE. Halo 3 was the popular kid at school. Everybody wanted to be him and everybody wanted to hang out with him. He went on to College and became a billionaire making more than his older brother. Halo 3 ODST- The quiet one in the family. He was the one that stayed in his room the most depending on his own. His older brothers wanted ODST to be just like them but he refused. He wasn't as successful as his brothers, but he managed to keep himself occupied. Halo Wars- The cousin of the bunch, Halo Wars was different than the rest of the family. Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 didn't want to hang out with Halo Wars at family get-togethers. He was an awkward fellow to be around. He ended up dropping out of school and left it with a bad reputation. Halo Reach- The troublemaker of the Halo family. Growing up was pretty normal for Halo Reach as Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 took him under their wing. When Reach was in middle school, he completely disobeyed his older siblings and did his own things. Trying to become successful was tough for Reach, but he managed to do it. Halo 4- The other awkward brother of the bunch. Halo 4 tried to fit in with everyone else at school but it didn't work out for him. Even his close friends that he grew up with left him in the dirt on his own. Little by little he tries to gain new friends but he fails. Halo 4 ended up dropping out of school.
