Forum Post "Likes"

Maybe someone can help me see something obvious I'm just missing. But what do "likes" do in this CMS? It appears you are the only one who can see if anyone likes your posts. There appears to be no other indication anywhere that a post was liked by anyone other than the notice you receive when your posts are liked. Also, a post being liked seems to have no effect on it at all. Am I missing something? Other than maybe getting a warm fuzzy when you see the notice that you got X number of likes on a post, I'm not seeing any other influence of likes on posts in the forums. Just curious.

  • The default viewing preference (Trending) is fueled by these. The activity generated by them bumps a thread up to the front of the page (If it's active enough), whereas sorting your posts by "Latest" just shows the ones with the most recent comments. They also bump the most popular comments up to the top of a thread when viewing it in "Popular" mode. Likes can also act as a "Favorites List" of your content for threads.
