Ok, so I never quite got into comics growing up. Loved books, but comics just weren't quite my thing. However I've come to grow found of a few characters and I would love to read up on them. I'm basically wondering which series I should go for for the most solid lore, or even which ones to read first. All help in this would be appriciated.
Deathstroke
Deadpool
Batman (I don't mind if it is old for this one, but I want the most canon, if there is such a thing for him)

Marvel Noire Deadpool.

Almost any DC comic (Batman included) will be pretty easy to jump into since they did the New 52. Marvel comics will be a bit harder to understand what is going on at first. As much as I like Marvel comics (more so than DC), they really have things complicated at the moment. As for Batman, the Batman comics are about him directly. A lot of his sidekicks, from my understanding, have their own comics and these could tie in to Batman's as well. The Dark Knight comic tells all the current background stories that aren't covered directly by Batman or associates, but while affect all Gothem dwellers. As for my suggestion, try Archer & Armstrong. I just started reading it recently and it seems they rebooted the series within the past year, so it will be fairly easy to jump into.
