Halo 4 Population
So, for curiosities sake, I just added up the populations from all of Halo 4's playlist (apparently 343i doesn't want it to display the global population, perhaps out of fear of how low it is)
The total population of the game when I counted it was 38,000 give or take a few hundred. That's hardly better then Halo 3's population was right before Halo 4 came out...
I really hope this will serve as a reality check for 343i.
What are your thoughts on this?

33 RepliesHalo 3 and Halo 4 population counters are much different from each others. I can say that Halo 4 certainly has less people playing but not as much as some would think. Either way I'd rather play any Halo game than that abomination Halo 3. Halo 3 was like CE and H2's retarded younger brother. Everything CE and H2 got right Halo 3 happened to screw up. The only things that came out of Halo 3 that are worth talking about is Forge and Theater. Halo 3 is the game that started the downfall of competitive arena maps. All the maps started to get bigger and less thought out. I'm sorry but I just hate so much about Halo 3 and I'm not going to get into it. It was a terrible broken game.

That's very good when compared to every other online game except black ops 2. I mean take crysis 3 which came out like 6 weeks ago. 500ish people on at peak hours.

3 RepliesMeaningless. It's due to Reach ruining the fan base and because the ones it didn't ruin suck Bungie's teet. I am apathetic they are gone, Halo 4 sold tremendously and the campaign was beautiful.

I mean for damn sakes you have Bravo as an employee, let him engage the community. A lot of the problems would have been smoothed out if 343 had some personality showing in their own official forums that delt with the communities outcry. Letting the forum police speak on your behalf can be a tricky situation because they can just ban you the next minute if you step over some line you forgot about. But a developer speaking well that's a whole new ball of wax due to them understanding their actions will be broadcast over the Internet if some troll catches them with a valid question and they lose it rather than saying here's the issues and here's the timeline for the fix.

Halo 3 tracks on a 24 hour period, last I checked. Halo 4's is moment by moment.
