This was my first time applying for a job, it was kind of nerve-racking for some reason. The question they asked me I tried to answer as truthfully as I could, but if they called my teachers would they say the same things about me?
Hopefully I get this job, I am 17 and have not been able to get a job yet. So wish me luck guys. I am interested if finding out what your first jobs were.

My first question when I read the title was WHY??? Burger King is so much better. And the fries.......man the fries.
-
Really guys? Not one of you guys said "refer to Death" I've worked there for 9 months, bitches. If you want any advice on how to do things I know everything.

As long as you were professional, chances are good that you'll get it. I showed up to my McDonald's interview all dressed up and prepared and one of the first things the manager said was "You actually brought a resume!" Basically hired on the spot. Be prepared to smell like McDonald's food every single day, though.

Good. If you get the gig, you can be our inside man. What's really in those god forsaken chicken nuggets?
-
Don't have a job. My brother works at a Kroger though. I would like to work at perhaps a movie theatre when I'm 17. I don't know if a movie theatre would allow me to work there at that age though.
-
My brother just applied at McDonald's and I think he got it. On an unrelated note: our last name is McDonnell lulz
-
Word of advice. Don't eat anything there for lunch. Bring your own food.
-
I was a general assistant for my uncle who is an outdoor electrician. I was way overpaid for a job that requires me to mostly just hand him stuff.
-
My first legal job was at McDonalds. I worked at three different ones. One for over three years.
-
Office cleaning. Started when I was 10 and it was 4-6 hours once every weekend. Lasted me until I turned 21.
-
They won't call your teachers, don't worry. I also have applied for a job at McD's for summer before, but to no luck. Now I have a job in Burger King. My first job though was in Subway when I was 15 during summer. Good luck, man. Hopefully things go your way.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW You'll regret that. Any fastfood places get you severe acne with all the grease everywhere. Sucks for you bro.
-
Good luck I am also 17 and have yet to work..
-
Good luck dude. I've sent out over 50 applications and haven't got a call back so Im getting pissed off.

You should have sex in the play area.
-
I find your lack of class disturbing.

Edited by Uncle Putin: 3/15/2013 12:38:18 AMMy first job was mowing lawns around my neighborhood and I still do it. Each yard is 3/4ths an acre and I make good money off of it. I currently charge like $35 for a yard, but that's extremely low and I'm thinking about upping the price a bit. With my busy schedule, I make around $3000 a year. I would get a real job but junior year in high school is just way too busy for me.

good luck. my first job was an paid internship at the Army National Guard. i had to walk past armed guards and metal detectors, as well as having my laptop scanned when i took it with me. it was cool.

You will have a new-found appreciation [read: hatred] for the service industry and humanity as a whole.
