It's been a great ride over the past years, but I have a feeling the next will be even greater. I reason that this is probably one of the last moments that this site's users will be just Halo and Xbox fans (the old community). But this is not necessarily a bad thing. What are your thoughts on this?

I regret never posting in the community forum ;(

I never liked most of us anyway.

Edited by BannedMythicAccount: 2/24/2013 7:14:42 PMThis site sucks now and I hope Destiny will not follow suit as a reflection of it's poor attempt to modernize itself without knowing or ignoring the strengths of its previous model. #TwitterB.Net sucks #LikeOP'sStatusCauseFB #EnoughWithTheSiteHateMoveOn The community is the only thing keeping this site alive and will continue until Bungie's last days I reckon. it's a shame how it all turned out, in my entire time here there has been many changes in the community. None so disastrous at to this in terms of negative impact. I don't think Bungie understood how important the ease of access and the excellent UI that no other sites could match, how it served to draw in to Bungie members like me. In fact it was a combination of B.nets excellent games and it's excellent site that kept you in. Now we have neither post ODST. But at least there's potential for Destiny. However what's great is that they opened the doors beyond just Xbox gamers. New arrivals in the community can be good and I hope it turns out well, I hope somewhere along the lines, Bungie can cater to the PC community as well. But seriously

-blam!- this site man. It's pretty shit now.

I'm out.

I never sued halo, I was mw3 mostly. This game took me away from it though it's just so addicting

In the rainforest, when an old tree falls, it clears a patch of sunlight where seedlings frantically grow towards the heavens. In an incredibly short amount of time, the light no longer illuminates where the old tree had fell; the new plants now completely cover the small hole in the canopy where the light had come. The Bungie community has persevered for many years, and with the announcement of their new project, new blood is sure to come and take the places of the old. The old community is gone, you say. I say that they will remain. The new blood may dilute the old, but only to expand the community's culture and make room for more stories to tell in the future. The community will grow and become closer as newcomers such as I share experiences with you guys. This is my first post. I'll admit that I'm a ps3 guy. The only thing I had against xbox was that many of my friends were on xbox live and I couldn't connect with them. Oh, and that you had Bungie all to yourselves. I've never seen a real difference between the communities anyways. If I had more money (there's never enough!) then maybe I would've picked up a xbox. Then maybe I would've been a part of this "old community". I've lurked here for the last week and I like what I see. See you guys around. Edward, new blood

I think I can successfully say that it will get a whole lot bigger. Xbox and PlayStation fans will be brought together to discuss the greatest game ever made. It is our Destiny.

Edited by CHAYMANIA: 3/3/2013 6:33:05 PMI fu-cking loved this community and always will

Its evolution man. I'm not worried.

The playstation community has a lot of people. All I know is the more the merrier.
-
WHY DID I LURK FOR SO LONG?!
-
I've had this feeling for the past weeks. I don't have that want to keep coming back to the site. Bungie, somehow, has made the new website feel impersonal, and it feels like I'm another unheard voice in a new wave of members. I mean, sure that has to do with veterancy, but it also has to do with forum layout, flow, and appearance.

I shall fondly remember the days of polls, titles, pages, and a chronological post order. It was fun.

Though many may be left behind, those of us who choose to stay loyal will live on in these brighter times. We're starside now, and we must be brave.

Edited by Sean: 2/23/2013 5:28:34 AMI remember the old days. I only recently started coming back onto B.net (mostly as a distraction while I work). It's funny looking back to some of my ancient posts, and seeing how...different (might be the correct word) I acted, and even my typing style on how it has changed. Even going to my old posts as leader of a clan (years ago), just things are strange looking back. I can't even imagine how my older posts are (as this isn't my first account on B.net). It will be good to have some new blood to replace the old.

I'll admit, I had absolutely no life during the Halo 3 era of gaming...... Halo 3 WAS my life, lol. I remember playing it daily and waiting for updates each week on the old Bnet. Anyone here remember all the fuss that was made by poeple when one of the weekly updates was a few hours, or a few days late? It was silly, but I sure do miss those days. Now we wait years for an update. :( It's time to start adjusting to the new Bnet now I suppose, I'm eager to see what Bungie has for us next.
-
I love you guys. :)
-
Sad. At least we'll always have our private group communities.
-
Hey man, I'm just coming into the community and I appreciate that mostly everyone is happy with the newcomers, makes me (and others, I'm sure) feel pretty welcome. Getting into new communities can be pretty daunting and some of them can be pretty vicious, so thanks for the post. :) -Badger "The Bungie Newbie" Deluxe

Edited by attempt3: 2/22/2013 3:29:38 PMThe influx of new users is like a constant affirmation that Bungie still has the character, charisma, and interesting games that brought me here in the first place. It will be nice to get new points of view on topics as well.
-
You'll get over it.
-
The old community sucked anyway. We need to evolve and adapt to an ever changing world, which is ever changing because everyone keeps telling one another we need to evolve and adapt to an ever changing world. Old-hat, chap! We'll leave it behind, rightfully so, because it's antiquated. Why, I couldn't think of being in an old-community when there's a new one!
-
The ones left behind shall minister to these, "newbs".
-
I don't see it as the end or the beginning of anything; simply evolution. Evolution that's never ceased. People come and go; that's how it's always been and that's how it always will be. Change is scary but it's constant. A new look just forces us to notice it. Your point about Halo and Xbox fans no longer being the sole proprietors of this great landscape is true, and I agree very much with your anti-negative view. To the future. And beyond!
