Yes, that goddamn thread.
This bug has nothing to do with the current maintenance on Bungie.old because I've been trying to edit said thread for days.
The error message that pops up after any attempts to edit the body, title, tags, etc is:
The field "Body" is too short or too long. Please enter a length that is 2 to 10000 characters in length.
I checked how many characters the thread is, and it's less than 10k. I can't even change the category, FYI. This is unsurprising to me, as this has been an issue for me since before that update. I've tried multiple browsers, cleared all of my crap, etc.
In dev-ish terms: Reproced 5/5, Priority 1, Severity 1, send it to committee because Cortana needs to edit her thread.
And yes, I looked around and perhaps I'm just too dense to find a thread about it already.

When you had a program count the characters in your post, was it including or ignoring spaces? Because spaces *are* characters, but most of the time, when characters are counted, spaces are ignored, since you're counting characters for literary/journalistic/academic padding purposes

As a temporary fix, you could split your original post into two halves, then post the first half as a reply to the OP, the second half as a reply to your reply. You could then grab a perma link to that second half, and post it in the original post, and it should display the entire thing nicely, with the original post containing your hook and update and such.

I have the same problem with mine as well. I hope it's something that can be fixed, because the thread I want to edit is still being used, and contains time-sensitive data that is changing often.

I know on Bnet.old you could get down to around 120-130 characters before that error started popping up. How many characters are you at?

You should re-make it and link the old thread
