The return of the "Save Thread" feature.

With the new site have come new ideas and new threads that helpfully explain and explore those ideas. There have also been threads that have been funny or interesting just as there always have been. However I've found that it is difficult to keep track of these threads without the old Saved Threads page in my profile. While you can "like" threads and then continually expand the threads shown until you have them all listed it occurs to me that I had several pages of threads that I had saved over the years and eventually the same thing will happen with the update and it will become difficult to navigate. I think that if the Saved threads feature is not reintroduced, it would be my preference that it is, then the "Like" feature needs to be expanded. A few ideas for this expansion that I've had are having a separate page for "Liked" threads in your profile that allows you to sort them by forum or by tags or by date created, just to name a few options. If the webteam goes the expanding the "Like" feature route then I think that they should also address another concern that a number of other users have expressed recently, that their saved threads from the old site be transferred over to a new "Liked Threads" page, where they could be organized as I have suggested. Do you all find it difficult to browse your "Liked" threads? Do you want a more easily navigable feature? Do you have any suggestions?

  • Indeed, saved threads are one of the most worthwhile features of bungie.old. I cannot think of a reason to have just up and ditched the concept.

    • I do miss a lot of saved threads I had. There were a lot of threads that I felt were important to me and significant to bungie.net's history. With this being a new era of b.net I hope they bring this feature back so we can save a lot of cool threads that are happening right now.

      • The like feature isn't supposed to be used for saving threads, but it's the only way we can at the moment. I bet Bunige will bring back the save thread feature, it'd be a shame if they didn't.

        • I haven't really experimented with this portion of Bungie.next, but having both a "like" feature and a "save thread" feature seems redundant to me. Although I preferred the save thread system and was sad to see it go, I have no problem with the like feature being its replacement. However, based on what you said regarding the feature's disorganization, it does sound like a more organized system would be an improvement.

I Think they will probably bring back the save thread feature, A lot of people did use it and seem to want it. But if they didn't, I like the idea of making the like feature a little more structured to make it easier to find the threads you liked and want to read or use in the future. I find it doable to navigate the like feature of course right now I don't have a lot of liked threads which makes it easier.
