And he asked you to end his life, would you? Or would you deny him a way out of his suffering?
-
That'd be very out of character for him...
-
I would try to talk him out of it. If he persisted with these requests I would likely tell someone else who was close to him and I would sever my connections with him until he could his life back in order.

Edited by DocSmurf: 1/28/2013 5:32:34 AMI would ask him his reasons and attempt to asses his thought process, in the event that there really was no other way. Then yes. I would end his life. I would also follow him off a bridge, into a burning building, or anything else he needed of me. I have known my best friend my entire life and he is the only person I have ever met who as never made anyone upset, has no enemies, and is known by everyone. Hes a caring man and a great friend. I count myself as among the lucky people in the world to hold the title of his best friend. Yes, i would end his life if he asked me to. but what is more likely... I would do anything and go through anyone to ensure his continued existence even if that lead to my own death. He is a far better man than I.

I would advise them not to think like that but if they keep persisting I will walk out of the room. I don't want any part of that.
-
No, I would not help anyone kill themselves/murder.
-
It's happened before. I cuddled him and told him to talk to me and let it all out. I spent hours listening to, reasoning with and talking to him. I feel slightly ashamed though that there's only a couple of people I can do that for.
-
Give me the situation I'm in, like a warzone, just out of the blue, etc.
-
What kind of suffering?
-
Ah this reminds me of the story of the one guy that wanted his friend to chop off both of his arms. In the end his friend could only do one arm. Though to answer your question no I wouldn't. He can do it himself if he wants it that bad, but I would probably inform the proper authorities to get him help.
-
Well yes, but I'd peel off his skin slowly with a carrot peeler.
-
Only in a truly extreme situation. Otherwise, no. I'd look to cure whatever suffering has befallen him.
-
Hell no. There is no freaking way that I can kill my best friend. 1. Committing suicide is extremely selfish and cowardly and 2. I would most likely be convicted of 2nd degree murder and go to jail for a very long time. So it's two things against me. No.
-
I like to think I would because I can never deny the people I care about anything but I wouldn't be able to give up my "best friend"
-
No, assisted suicide is a crime... Do it yourself you useless shitstain...
-
Depends. Why does he want to die?
-
Not under normal circumstances.
-
-
-
I would try to help them with their problem.
-
Hell no I wouldn't do it.
