For the last year or two, people have speculated about what our next project was and surprisingly, in all that time, not a single person guessed that it would be Halo 3. Not one. • It is really sad to see Bungie ending the series three games early. It is also really sad that they have become the lap dogs of Microsoft. Bungie could have done so much better if Alexander Seropian had listened to the vast majority of the employees who worked for him. I guess that is why Bungie shrunk over 50% over night. Guess where those game designers have gone? Some of them went to Lionhead, some of them went to Gas Powered Games, some of the grunts went to MacSoft, a lot of them started up Gathering of Developers, In the end, Bungie lost a lot of good people, and the complete respect of the Mac Gaming community. Flame all you want, but Halo was supposed to be out April 2004 for Mac, and instead came out November 8, 2004 for xBox. Mac users had to wait 9 more months (even though with added content). Think about it this way. How many of you reading this trash Mac's for having crap for games and never having them first. Now think about a game that will go done in history as one of the best games ever made. Imagen you are a Mac user, and think about how shafted you would feel. Now, most of you wont believe this. Who am I to be trusted. I'm no one from the 2600, I'm not capt. Crunch, I am not a hacker at all. All I am is one of the thousands of mac users that drooled at the mouth from the game trailers and preview content for the Halo series that Bungie had released. Does anyone wonder why -all- of that was pulled from Bungie.net the week after Seropian sold out? Halo was going to be the best game ever made. Some may argue that it is now. Compared to what it could have been before Microsoft utterly molested the game, Halo 1, 2, 3 and the 3rd trilogy would have been more magnificent than anyone but Bungie's internal testing team could have ever imagined. Alexander Seropian, I hope you know what you did. I'm not going to ask how you sleep at night, because I have little faith in your character. What I am going to say is this. It does not matter who you are, or what you believe in, but if you are a die hard fan of any game making company, -never- let them get away with what Bungie has for 7 years. Stand up for yourself as a gamer, and force the game making industry to stop reinventing the wheel. Demand ground breaking industry masterpieces, like a company named Bungie did once upon a time -- don't let them get away with playing it safe! Signed, A forgotten friend
