How to decipher the hieroglyphs on Santrap! UPDATE: Debunked?

Do you guys remember the secret of sandtrap? And how bungie even said those hieroglyphs on sandtrap meant something?? Well I think I figured out how to decode it. I just need help. It involves the terminals. In the terminals, remember how some of the letters would change into a symbol, and then back again? Those symbols are the same ones in sandtrap. And I believe this is how to decode them. For example, lets use the word "Bungie". Say the letter "i" changes to a forerunner symbol. Lets use 7 as a placeholder. That would look like "Bung7e". It will quickly change back to the orignal spelling of "Bungie". Since the letter "i" turns into the forerunner symbol "7", that means that the symbol "7" means "i". Makes sense right? The problem is that the terminals move way too fast. If we could get someone to record all the terminals in HD and SLOW THEM DOWN, we could decipher the secret of sandtrap. And even if this doesn't relate to destiny, it would be the biggest easter egg find of all time, even bigger then the Megg. The symbols appear to be random, as demonstrated here. Sad, but maybe there is something else to these terminals. We should look through the terminals to see what we find. The secret of Sandtrap still is out there.
[Edited on 07.12.2012 10:50 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: im am b0red
Posted by: some1 with guns Take the dark squares and translate them. I'll try it. EDIT: Here's what I tried: Instead of translating the first symbol as "Via", I translated the opposite symbol. The dark squares. The first word would be "populus" instead. The dark words translate to: Populus, Carcer, Acquisito, Fortuna Major, Puella, Caput, Draconis, Conjunctio
SWEET MOTHER OF GOD WE HAVE A CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!! Those words you translated are some of the 16 geomantic figures... that look like this!!!!! oddly similar to some of the new avatars dont you think?
Populus: Latin for "the People". The figure resembles a bird's eye view of a group of people. The figure can mean that the outcome is based on the people of the situation, or represents a large number of people or peers. Carcer: Latin for "the Prison". The figure is the outline of an enclosure, a link in a chain, or prison cell. It is usually bad in situations and denotes delays, setbacks, or bindings. Astrologically it is associated with Capricorn and Saturn retrograde; its inner and outer element is earth. It refers to immobility, and also thereby strength. Depending on the question it could indicate a restriction or a source of willpower. Acquisito: Latin for "Gain". The figure resembles two bowls or cups turned upright. It is good in almost all situations, especially for getting and obtaining things Fortuna Major: Latin for "the Greater Fortune". The figure resembles blessings growing from the earth and being fruitful in the air. It is good in all situations in a best case scenario sense and represents great good fortune, especially in beginnings. Puella: Latin for "the Girl". The figure is to resemble the -blam!- or a woman with exaggerated breasts. It is good in most situations, especially with women, beauty, or feminine situations. Caput and Draconis go together to mean: Latin for "the Head of the Dragon". The figure resembles the astrological symbol the north node of the Moon. It is neutral figure (good with good, evil with evil) but fortunate with starting or beginning new things. Conjunctio: Latin for "the Conjunction". The figure resembles a crossroads or joining of two figures. The sign is neutral in meaning (good in good things, evil in evil), but good with joining or recovering things, especially marriage or relationships. Astrologically it is associated with Virgo and Mercury retrograde. It represents a combination of forces, for good or ill. Link is being a bit derpy, just search for the geomantic figures...
