Gas
My wife works at a Sam's Club, which also happens to have a gas station. Tomorrow morning when they open they will be charging 3.59 for a gallon of regular unleaded. It was 2.59. Apparently hurricane Katrina is to thank for this. Hopefully Sam's is an exception or just overreacting, but don't be surprised if you have to pay out the ass for gas starting tomorrow.

Here's a fun story: (I live in Maine) -- Last night I put 9 dollars worth of super at $3.20 a gallon into my car at the Mobil across from where I work. (When I fill up my tank, I use regular, but when I'm only putting it less then 10 dollars to get home, I use super). This morning, I drove into work and looked at Mobil's new and improved prices: it was $3.24/gallon ... for regular. That's the cheapest I've been able to find it up here, right around $3.25.
