EIGHTY dollar service charge?!!?

There's no way I can spare another 80 dollars for this MS BS. For no reason at all a few days ago my XBox video was very fuzzy, barely visible on my TV. It got progressively worse as I tried to adjust the AV cable. Finally I gave in and bought a new cable, and the same thing occured, fuzzy, sometimes not even appearing. I tried my XBox on three TVs, all the same. XBox Customer "Service" simply said it would be 80 dollars to repair because my three month warranty expired two months ago. Does anyone know why this is happening, or if there's any home repairs I could do? Thanks so much!

  • sounds like theres a loose connection on the output of your Xbox. if you want to fix it yourself your gonna have to open it up and check it out. If its loose youl have to solder the loose connection. If you dont know what your doing i dont recommend doing it yourself. $80 is a lot cheaper then buying a new Xbox if you F it up.
