I like the pasta ideas. You could keep it simple. Stew up some pasta noodles [whatever you have] heat up a bowl put olive oil in the bottom wait till your girl friend is about to arrive or is already there throw in your cooked pasta toss in some salt, pepper, sun-dried tomatoes, a few olives, onions whatever you like/have toss a small handful of parmasian cheese on top get a loaf of french bread from your local bakery cut it into slices melt some butter and garlic into a bowl spread it on the slices bake for about 7 minutes set-up the suff on the table make sure no one is around yell -BAM!- There you go.
