I am curently reading the Wheel of Time Series. I am in the 10th book, and have the new prequal waiting to be read. I have decided there are way too many characters to keep track of. A friend of mine like to map out books as he reads em, making a flow chart of the different characters and the orgins and stuff, then he can return to it when a character is mentioned and remember what role they played in a past book... i don't have the patience for that, Although I do belive the current maps for the books leave a lot unshown, so man cities and places are described and you can't quite get a bearing on them.
Any thoughts?

Meh, I've read some fantasy, and I never really enjoyed any of it. Personally, I find sci-fi stories the most interesting because they are fantasies that are, for the most part, possible. Take Neuromancer by William Gibson; it's a great story that at the same time fortells the near furture, and for a book written in 1983 it does this disturbingly well. So basically, no I don't like reading fantasy... I read the Wheel of Time, though. Nothing special in my opinion.
