Unofficial list of possible fixes for AU2! List is growing :D

So, the Auto Update has finally arrived, but there's definitely lots of small glitches, bugs, and animation issues that haven't been addressed. This post (and the one below it, if need be) will contain a list of possible fixes and ideas that may be introduced in Auto Update 2. Post Your suggestions! (Note: make intelligible, well thought out suggestions--stupid things like 'Fix sniper registration' will not go on, as it is common knowledge that the aforementioned problem, and others like it, are caused by lag). GLITCHES OVERSHIELD CARRYOVER AT END OF ROUND If you pick up an overshield at the end of a round, if it's still charging while the round ends, it carries over into the next round; starting you off with fully charged overshield. ODDBALL 'FULL VEHICLE OPERATION' When you set the settings for an oddball carrier to be able to fully control a vehicle (ie. drive and use gunner), they cannot. FORGE 'NEVER RESPAWN' GLITCH when setting objects to never respawn in Forge, in-game that attribute doesn't work, as objects end up getting 'cleaned up' and respawning at their spawn points anyways. EQUIPMENT PHYSICS GLITCH The Flare and Radar Jammer have physics properties that allow a player to jump off of them when thrown at the right angle and a jump timed to coincide; thus giving the player the ability to 'double jump' so to speak. This is the reason they were removed from matchmaking. These two pieces of equipment are very useful and it is sad that they had to be removed due to this property. CLONING OBJECTS GLITCH I'm not sure how it's done, but by manipulating the network, in the right conditions, can cause a 'clone' of an object to appear. Elephants in Sandtrap and player characters are two well known examples of this. FORGE MONITOR GLITCH When you change the 'editor' setting to 'Party Leader Only,' it can be easily bypassed by pressing start in-game and manually going to edit mode. This is a major glitch that has no reason for not being fixed with the multitude of testing Halo 3 had gone through prior to release. FAULTY RESPAWN SETTING There is a special respawn setting (when creating gametypes) that allows teammates to come back to life, even if they are out of lives, when you kill an enemy. However, this option does not work. Teammates never come back to life. LOW SCORE MECHANISM When trying to create a game of Team Fiesta Low with random weapons and lots of bonus points, the following happened to xPox: In this gametype, the team's score is that of the lowest scoring team member. He has seen several games where one team's score will get "stuck" at 3 or 4 points and never go up, no matter how many points the lowest scoring team member has. EXPLOSION THROUGH SHIELD DOORS GLITCH In Snowbound (the only available example for this), if a grenade or other explosive detonates on one side of the shield door and there are Environmental Hazard Explosives (fusion cores, fusion coils, propane tanks etc) on the other side, even though the explosive's effect does not pass through the shield door, it still affects the EHE's on the other side, damaging or potentially killing a player on the other side of the shield door. This most notably happens at the main shield door in snowbound where the shotgun spawn is. ARMOR CHANGE GLITCH: This is caused by lag, but is a glitch that should be fixed as the end result of it shouldn't have anything to do with lag: Sometimes, during a game, your armor will default back to the basic Mjolnir Mk VI for the rest of the game. ACTIVE CAMO/OVERSHIELD GLITCH Sometimes, when a player picks up active camo or overshield, when he/she dies, they drop the power up and it can be picked up by someone else. Not sure if this was intended or not, but it seems to be a glitch as it happens only on occasion. INSIDE DESTROYED VEHICLES GLITCH Sometimes, when (i think) you get inside a vehicle and it's destroyed at the same time, the vehicle will be destroyed but you will still enter it. You can't do anything until you get out. FLYING DEAD BODIES GLITCH Though MOSTLY fixed in autoupdate 1, remnants of the flying bodies glitch remain. In my fileshare, a Lone Wolves Slayer game on High Ground, I experienced the flying body glitch. Though, it seems that the conditions for it are far more specific than before the autoupdate. The glitch can be seen at about 4:00 to 3:30 left in the game. WEAPON RESPAWN GLITCH The Sandtrap Spartan Laser, for the defensive side, will sometimes spawn and then fall through the map. As of now, this is the only reported weapon spawn that does this. SERVICE RECORD 'DIFFICULTY COMPLETED' PIN For some people, the Legendary icon doesn't how up on their service record when they've completed it in co-op. However, Heroic, Normal, and Easy all show up when done in co-op. BALANCE ISSUES SPAWNING: There does indeed seem to be an imbalance in the spawning system. Though it may spawn you near teammates, the consideration for enemy positions doesn't seem to be weighted very high. Alot of people are complaining about the spawns to the point where I think they may have a point, as I've noticed this too. This may be the one major thing I see an imbalance issue with. UPPER ROOMS IN 'THE PIT': The upper floor of The Pit leaves a bit of a balance issue, as unless you spawn up there or have a teammate, it is very difficult to reach. Sometimes even grenades, rockets, and other such powerful items can not uproot the campers taken hold there. Skilled players may be able to deal with the situation, and though a viable tactical option, this upper floor (overall) is lacking proper balance. A few suggestions would be to either place fusion cores with long respawn times up there to assist in killing the local resident, or grav lifts (whether in placed or equipment form) to allow easier access. FEATURE ADD-ONS 'PREFER DLC' PREFERENCE: For the matchmaking options, a preference should be added for players who have up-to-date DLC (maps, armor, whatever). Choosing this option will allow the player to be matched up with others who have the same DLC they do. This will allow players to use new maps more frequently during the price phase of map availability, while not harming (too much) those who haven't acquired the DLC yet. VISIBLE PLAYLIST NAME Players who are in a party and not the party leader cannot see what playlist is selected until the party leader starts searching for a match or verbally tells his party what playlist it is. While somewhat easier to tell for ranked playlists, in Social playlists it is impossible to tell what playlist the leader has chosen without the two aforementioned things happening. This, combined with the fact that the party leader may not have a headset, it will be very handy to have a visible text string to show what playlist is currently selected, much like the Halo 2 pre-game lobby. •
Posted by: Son Of LA Sorry my poor english,it`s not my main lanuage
The funny thing is, despite being ESL, you seem to speak/type it better than 90% of the morons on this forum. I bet all those grammatically challenged word murderers are feeling mighty peeved right now. So feel proud, your english is fine. And the overshield thing is potentially abuseable. I'm adding it to the list.
