Step 1: Open commmand prompt (Start-->Run--->cmd.exe, or just type cmd.exe in windows 7 start menu) Step 2: in command prompt, type "ipconfig" Step 3: Look at your default gateway, it should be something like 192.168.1.1 Step 4: Open your internet browser and put your default gateway (192.168.1.1 for example) into the address bar, hit enter Step 5: You can now log in to your router. Provide the username and password to your router (the default is usually "admin" unless someone in your family changed it. Google your router's defrault password if you aren't sure) Step 6: You are now configuring your router. Goto game settings. You'll see the options for DMZ and QOS here. DMZ the ip address your xbox or ps3 uses. If you aren't sure, it's listed under System Settings on ps3, and on xbox it should be in internet settings somewhere Step 7: Just put your xbox or ps3's ip address in the DMZ box and enable it, then save. Your xbox/ps3 is now DMZ'ed Step 8: QoSing is a bit more advanced. Your xbox and ps3 also has a "MAC ADDRESS" listed in system settings somewhere. Find it. Goto your router's QoS page, put in your ps3 or xbox mac address. Set priority to high. Enable Wireless QoS (WMM) if you want. You're done. Enjoy the high road.
