C.E. -The Trump Card

Was arguing with a guy at work about how great Halo was, and realized something. If there was one singular thing that separated C.E. from its contemporaries (and a lot of games since), it was enemy psychology. No other game did so much to make you believe the enemies were real. Varying states of alarm/quiet...many games still don't seem to have that. Or even non-combat animations half the time.

Infinite lives really helps though.
It's more...somewhat campaign, but not really. Am getting a little tired of hitting active cammo and having enemies deliver perfect headshots despite. (Same with an enemy getting nailed to the wall by a mounted gun and somehow being able to aim perfectly.) Am actually beginning to predict the douchey nature of "Just at that moment" enemy actions... I can generally get anything done on Legendary. Am thinking about inviting old Zumbo up for my latest attempts at achievements.
The camo works for once (it was worse in Reach), having saved me when engaging the Elite snipers on Requiem. But I'd still rather have that CE camo where I could have extended fun with it. It was a great way to get up close to the AI. Next up on the list would either be Halo 3 Cloaking or Arby's camo since my movement wasn't inhibited. Basically: CE camo > Halo 2/3 > Halo 4 > Halo: Reach IMO [Edited on 12.13.2012 9:45 PM PST]
