Halo 2 Delta Halo Ruins
I was replaying Delta Halo and Regret again and I heard some dialogue I normally didn't hear on the Gondola:
"You know what Chief? I think the Forerunners built these new structures around the old ones to protect them, remember them,,,(something)"
Now, we are all aware of the ruins quite possibly being built by ancient humanity, but I wanted to start this discussion again.
What do you think they are?

These humans eventually constructed their their own constructs. Thing is, since they were degraded, they construction process shouldn't be advanced and they should have decayed in all the years, unless maintained, which I doubt.
