Not for nothin but bungie could learn a thing or two from These guys Not trying to be mean; bungies site is visibly nice.. should tone it down to compensate for load times in order to keep people on the site.. [Edited on 10/4/2004 8:49:52 PM]

 •
Posted by: Recon Number 54
Posted by: ODST_Dragon I think recon did an excelent job of explaning the point that a site set up about video games does not need to be serious. If you want to be so serious stay away from Halo. Do not turn a game that has changed the lives of so many, and the people who love it, serious. Serious is not fun. Halo and all thing related are. The only serious allowed to be part of Halo is serious players, gamers who play with purpose, who have the fire inside that drives them to win all the time at any cost. Forums like these here on bungie.net are ment to be fun for everyone and slander is not appreciated.
I did? I thought that I had made some major mistake that was going to effect my political career for years to come. As long as no one finds out about that one time in the hotel with the strippers, superglue, 300 gallons of lime jello, an industrial belt sander and 3 dobermans..... I'm still golden! Wait, did I actually type that?
Ouch. Well, I'd never thought I'd have to say this about you, but I think that deserved a cookie. [Edited on 10/7/2004 4:28:46 PM]

 •
Posted by: Russo I thought recon set things straight rather well... hats off to him. I agree its free will... as it is also my free will to critique something...
Oh crap, what did I do now? It's not my fault, someone was screen peeking, it was lag, my controller malfunctioned, it was all a huge libertarian plot, I did not have relations with that woman, certainly with your mom, but not THAT woman! ...and any other excuses that fit whatever it was that I didn't do! • Since the RvB site has been up, Ive been at it 24/7. Hell I was even on the main page early one morning because all of the high karma'd people were off and half you guys found me and gave me friend requests. I love the new RvV site. Its great. Once Halo 2 is out, though, all of the XBL integration will make this site so much better. In theory..

 • yah you should realise that we like to argue here at bungie.net... not meanly but more like debating for fun. and yeah. but 56k isnt that bad on this site, i have much more trouble with many simpler, non-facified sites (and beleive it or not but this version of b.net is actually faster on my 56k than the old b.net WTF!!)
I love how people copy eachother on this website.. and refer to themselves in third person. I also like that no one can come back with a serious statement, they'd rather make themselves feel better with a smart ass comment or critique ones spelling.. Shows the maturity on these boards...
Actually, for me, it shows that I try not to take myself (or what I say) too seriously. I don't think that it is my purpose here to convince everyone (or anyone) of the "rightness" and validity of my own personal views. I can make serious statements all day long, and for my job I have to. What is wrong with not taking something like a video-game community forum as seriously as the other things in my life? If you would like to have a mature discussion, by all means. But please, I promise not to refer to anyone as a moron, or make assumptions that I even have an idea what someone else is thinking. That doesn't take (as you say) "balls", it takes courtesy and civility. As to your issues with B.net's layout, bells, whistles and programming.... Archonos is browsing some topics, perhaps he may give you the perspective of the person who is responsible (despite what the Webmaster claims) for this little slice of the 'Net.
LOL .. ok.

 •
Posted by: Russo Both of you are morons. As you think your better then someone and making assumptions. As i have a T1 line runnig into the building that i own. A second T1 is to be installed later this month. I have programmed html, SQL, C++, for many years. Bungie.net has many issues. I am not complaining just stating the obvious in the website. No one else has the balls to come forward and say "hey you know what your right, maybe if they cut out 90% of the flash and jazz, load times and server usage would go down".. No instead we have people like you that linger in "the septagon" Thinking your statements are better than those of whom post in new mombasa or else where...
Such a display of arrogance, the likes of which I haven't seen in microcycles! If you want a fast, simple website, go to HBO! As for me, I'm doing this over 56K right now, no problems. --Sgt. • I'm thinking more 28.8, personally. WHTML loads quickly.
